AVI dump always uses MP3

If you use the compressed option, the movie becomes bigger vs the non-compressed option. Plus, MP3 is not loseless, so you may lose something in the process. This is from the properties of a movie dumped with Custom + Compressed Audio (128Kbps via zmovie.cfg): Audio: MPEG Audio Layer 3 32000Hz ster...

Another thing I've noticed is that after a movie dump is complete, returning to the GUI usually requires pressing Esc twice. There was an original fix to prevent desyncing.. but didn't test it before it was posted. It was the first thing to consider when you mention audio dumping went to hell. This ...

Disabling Pause = Success

Ok, I found the issue... I think. Disable "Pause Emu in Background". That fixed it! Thanks! 8) I've noticed something else. With "Pause Emu In Background" disabled, when dumping with Custom, the audio playback is muted only during the first pass. This means there is unnecessary ...

did you update mencoder recently? No. I've been using the same one I downloaded roughly 2.5 months ago. Edit: I take back what I said here: "Until Stop" works great, even including the audio at the very beginning. It worked with XviD on a short dump (24 seconds), but when I dumped a 2.5mi...

AVI dumping complications - more details

I'm using the official Windows v1.51 release. I have tried it with compressed and uncompressed audio settings. Clicking 'Stop' before the ZMV has finished its first pass can have the audio included, but the first few seconds are still silent (with mp3, at least). This does not make sense... The cust...

AVI dumping - Custom option fails with Rock N' Roll Racing

I am experiencing major problems when trying to dump this movie to a merged audio/video file using the Custom option (though it dumped ok with XviD 2 months ago, but not now). The video portion turns out fine, but the audio is silent. I have tried it with compressed and uncompressed audio settings. ...

What you mean to say and/or what you should say is that it's good but still incomplete. "Not good enough" sounds too harsh.

ZSNES says that my ROM is interleaved and has a header. What does this mean? - I think this is covered in the NSRT guide. I guess. Perhaps this information could be placed in the Games page under Compatibility. ZSNES gives me an "out of memory" error and I only have 16MB of RAM. How do I ...

Well I just was looking over the change log, and I noticed some things which have somewhat significant importance where left out of the change log. Yes we really did a lot. SRAM (not) saved when saving state - Mario Kart's fault

Okay I just looked into this, I can't replicate. Sorry, it seems that I was misled. I happened to be saving states at the same time that SRAM was being saved, at the completion of Time Trial runs in Super Mario Kart. What I've actually discovered, apparently, is that Super Mario Kart saves SRAM dat...

Auto Frame Rate + Fast Forward, Slow Down

Ok, a major oversight here. Apparently it was not made clear that Auto Frame Skip was required for FF+Slowdown to operate normally.
In my tests, Fast Forward works just fine either way, but Slow Down is completely disabled. Is there any more to it than that?

The other SRAM saving request

Okay, I think I implemented what you wanted. The other thing that would complete my request is a GUI option to not save SRAM to disk at all. This would be especially useful for times when you are playing or recording ZMVs. I think that it might be best to have the option automatically disabled when...

Re: F4 Quick Key loads incorrect state in DOS

Ok, apparently this is triggered in 9x. I was compiling my post before I saw that you posted again. Probably not all of the information below is useful, but I don't feel like rewriting anything. I'm running the DOS port in Win98SE. Just now, I compiled the Win port and briefly tested in WinXP; the ...

Hmmm I did try to reproduce your situation... but I'm having trouble with it though. Give me some steps of what you are doing though. Also note what save options are enabled..... just in case. Both state 4 and state 9 existed prior to my testing this. I've tried selecting the slot via "Pick St...

F4 Quick Key loads incorrect state

There seems to be a similar problem with saving states in the DOS port. In the latest revision, I can load states fine using Load State in the main GUI, but it doesn't work with the F4 quick key. I have save states in slots 4, 6, and 9, and regardless of whichever slot I select (including empty ones...

Okay, I think I implemented what you wanted. Please test it for me. It is one of the things I wanted, and it seems to work well. Circles + Equilateral Triangle

I have to go with the circle. It's virtually the perfect shape; it has no corners (and thus, no "sides"), fits the curve of your hand (in cylinder/disc form), and is the basis for one of the most important 3-dimensional shapes: the wheel. It's also the basis for the sphere, which is used f...

AspiringSquire, I forgot to put it in the commit message, but in Readme.txt, I made the percentages in the special chip tables look (in my opinion) better. Mouse invisibility bug - traced back to a WIP

Further explanations of SRAM-related functions

This SRAM Check+Save implementation is worth considering
