It's probably the old SRAM loading bug. ZSNES doesn't really freeze up, it'll just take an unusally long time to load the game.

1.337 doesn't have the problem though. Not sure if the newer builds that supported netplay fixed the problem either.

I've always heard that burning discs at their rated speed produces a better burn than just burning at the lowest possible, i.e. burning a 4x DVD at 4x instead of 2x.

It's fucking awesome once you get used to the shoulder triggers being so small and crammed together.

The placement actually helps me in some of the games I've played, as it's easier and more comfortable to switch from trigger to trigger during gameplay.

I've had mine for years.
