If you want to search for rpms themselves, you should look at http://download1.rpmfusion.org/nonfree/fedora.

You are not supposed to look for specific package, you are supposed to add the repository to your configs and install the package with your package manager of choice ;)

byuu, could you consider linking to RPM Fusion as a place where folks can get pre-compiled packages for Fedora?

What's the problem with gcc-4.3.2 btw? Both qt and bsnes compile with 4.4, so 4.3.2 shouldn't be any.

Thanks. Before I build the new library, I a) need fixes for it to work on GCC 4.3.2, and b) need to know if I can statically link against the DLLs ala gambatte. I'm not sure, sorry. That taken care of, I'll probably post a new release either this weekend or next. Going to forego localizations for a...

For belegdol, I added SDL hat support. It only works with the first hat, as I figured those four-controller-as-one-device cheapass drivers might not work well if every single players' hat manipulates the same controller. You'll have to let me know how it works, since SDL doesn't detect my joypad's ...

I'm not sure if you are aware of that, but please keep in mind that qt-4.5 pre-releases are *not* LGPL yet. I checked that with Fedora Qt maintainers. Oh? That's annoying. I'll remove it when I get home with FTP access, then. If someone wants to test the WIP, they should probably get it now. Actual...

I see. Since I have no skills to do that, I'll patiently wait for your implementation, building with sjlj in the meantime. ETA: I got some test results for ppc (not mine though, but fellow user's): Seems to work ok, but my ibook is too slow to tell if the audio is working or not. Game and graphics s...

Without using the assembly, bsnes did build correctly on ppc/ppc64. When it comes to using the said assembly, I found this:
as -arch ppc -force_cpusubtype_ALL libco.ppc.s
How to integrate it into the build process?

bsnes on ppc/ppc64?

Hi, I am currently building the RPM fusion package for i386 and x86_64 only, since that's all libco seems to support. But, according to the thread about longsoon support, it was possible to build bsnes on MIPS. My question is, would it be possible to make it just work on ppc/ppc64? Does the SJLJ lib...

The hiro ui seems to be broken currently (wip 17). I think it broke with wip16, but I'm not sure. The hiro ui is still needed for RPM packages, as until qt 4.5 release RPM Fusion cannot legally ship the qt build. Even after it's released, it is still undecided whether qt-4.5 will be pushed to older ...

byuu, could you consider shipping a desktop file with bsnes? If installed to DATADIR/applications, users will have a nice menu entry for bsnes:

Also, I updated diminish' (Polish) translation to 0.039:

Suppose that means the Qt port is working okay for you on Fedora, cool. Yes, it is. I have managed to build it, I only needed to change moc to moc-qt4 in the Makefile. If I understand correctly, both hiro and qt UIs are going to be updated, so I think I'll try to provide both in an RPM package, pro...

I just tried wip13 and it seems I've found a small bug: when you build the qt port with gzip and jma enabled, the file extension filter will not get updated with .zip, .jma and friends.

It seems to fail to link on me (building under Fedora 10 x86_64): g++ -O3 -fomit-frame-pointer -Ilib -DGZIP_SUPPORT -DJMA_SUPPORT -o../bsnes obj/main.o obj/libco.o obj/ruby.o obj/libfilter.o obj/string.o obj/reader.o obj/cart.o obj/cheat.o ob...

byuu, since you are now using qt on all supported operating systems, would it be possible to change to qt .ts files for translation? This would allow translating bsnes with qt linguist (easier than with notepad) and also should allow to install multiple translations at once).

I think we have a misunderstanding here, the PAL game was running at 60 Hz because the video sync was limiting it, not because it was supposed to. With PA daemon running, it was at 50 Hz (albeit the animation was not smooth).

One more thing: if you kill the PA daemon (pulseaudio -k) and launch bsnes with a PAL game and video sync enabled, the framerate will hit 60 Hz and the animation will be smooth. So, is that a driver limitation?
