Right-click on the folder and choose Preferences. Make sure that the Read-Only checkbox is not checked.

DontSave = 0 ; Savefile directory. Leave it blank if you want the save files to be in the ; same directory as the games. It should be in a format like : C:\dir\dir SaveDirectory = C:\Documents and Settings\Larka\Desktop\Saved Games ; Game directory. This is the directory where the GUI starts at. ; ...

Open Zsnes.cfg in Notepad, edit the line SaveDirectory = and point it to a directory in your HDD.

If there is no save directory specified, ZSNES *tries* to store the savestates and SRAM in the same folder as the rom images; in this case, on the CD.

What about this filter do you people like? To me, that filter 'dirties' the screen and I don't like it. I don't like scan lines either though. None of those filters that darkens and 'dirties' the screen like that. Personally I don't really like this filter, although I use scanlines in some emulators.

HQxX filters are very CPU intensive. You'll just have to deal with it and use HQ2X.
