Well when I get my new comp put together, I'll likely just use xp with the latest RyanVM service pack add-on. That's really gay how they keep pushing back SP3 because of Vista.

Hopefully, MS changes the certification stuff before release.

The only good thing I can say about Vista is they vastly improved Solitaire. That's it. It takes forever to install, forever to boot and you're damn lucky if you can find drivers for everything, including something as basic and as vital as an ethernet card. Hahaha. Damn, sounds like I missed the bu...

The black omen bug is not related to the core. Admittedly I know nothing about code and was being presumptious, but there are undoubtedly a lot of bugs that need the accuracy of a better core to "properly" work. Byuu talks a lot about "edge cases," and I remember one bug not too...

There's no reason to hate or misunderstand what's going on with zsnes. Though writing an emulator is indeed a hobby and some authors have more time/desire whatever to progress their program, it's also about resources. I'm guessing the original zsnes authors knew what kind of sacrifices they were mak...

I'm pretty sure all 17 and 19 inch lcds are square pixels. And I don't think anyone with a crt would be running at a 5:4 resolution when it is physically 4:3. They shouldn't be, at least. 5:4 17 and 19inch lcd monitors has to be one of the stupidest manufacturing deviations in the history of compute...

Actually no. Run any SNES game on a 32 inch LCD, then run them on a little 14 inch CRT TV. You wouldn't have guessed a SNES game could look that nice. Same goes for PSX and N64 btw. Bigscreen LCD's just make old systems look shittier than they should. You just compounded the argument with size, and...

Antoine's right. The line is beginning to blur between tvs and monitors. Eventually, when we get oled or sed, and all the port mayhem clears, you'll essentially just have size differences, and crts will cease to hold any kind of advantage over future tech. The idea that older systems were "mean...

I'll laugh at most anything, and I thought the first one was pretty good. But if nothing in the second bothers you, more power to you. I guess being a 5th year English major has its drawbacks. My brain couldn't help but stumble several times, and that breaks up the humor.

It's supposed to be fun, rather than a real 'translation'. Although I see that I did make some typos here and there in the translation, your particular 'corrections' were not required: Maybe I just have a more demanding sense of humor, but there are two parts of a joke. The idea and the execution. ...

Really? I thought the Fresh Prince one kind of sucked. Translation to what? Even worse English? Why would you say "Large domicile" instead of "mansion." It's trying too hard to sound more snobby, but it's actually terrible writing. Fights don't "subside." "Going an...

Byuu's right. When I was in the market for an HTPC, I looked at VIA and thought it was cool at first how small they were, the passive cooling, and how little power they consumed. But the fact is, it's gimmicky marketing. Their performance is absolutely awful, and it always will be. AMD and Intel are...

Lord of the Rings does something strange as well.

I don't know the consequences of fixing the format, so I can't have an opinion on this. Obviously I want it done right, but the format is already so established.

Hopefully, the project goes open source in the future so the author can get outside help/fixes. As the number of rpg related bugs dwindle, progress is slowing
