I actually gave out a v1.51c with a couple of more fixes. I might also add that some of the patches in Debian's tree are wrong.
v1.51b is a nice bet in the interim.

The latest Windows version works in 64 bit Windows for me. Make sure you're trying the Windows version and not one of the others.

Re: Article about how desktop UIs changed over the years
It's possible. The name sounds familiar. My copy was on a shovelware CD full of random shareware demos. Man, there was all sorts of crazy shit on those... I miss 'em sometimes. I paid $30 for a full copy of mine, and it was worth the price tag. There were also all kinds of shareware addons for Prog...

I would have liked more information about what extra features the "addons" brought to the File Manager in Windows 3.x As Gil said, there was for integrated zip support. Other additions: "quick start" program bar on top. Enhanced association support, with drag and drop to common ...

Re: Article about how desktop UIs changed over the years
95 was good, 98 was shit, 98SE was good. If we include service packs, we should score 95 as three categories. And 3.0, 3.1, and 3.11 separate. And so on. On that note, 3.0 was really horrible. Things were extremely slow. 3.1 sped things up by an order of magnitude if not more. 3.11 just patched the...

Now a new version of Windows is coming out with a new interface being called "Metro". They should really be calling it "Retro". It's Windows 3 Program Manager with a bunch of those third party add-ons, with a more modern look to it. should add the following picture: http://i.img...

I found the article a solid read, well-written with your points consistently argued. Thanks for sharing! Glad you enjoyed it. I always invoke the Start menu with Ctrl+Esc Me too! BTW, "Title" is a valid column in Details view in Explorer under Win7 (and likely Vista, though I don't have a...

Re: Segfault on New Save States, Older Ones Load
ZSNES doesn't use PulseAudio directly. It outputs via SDL or libao which can in turn be configured to output to a dozen different sound systems. If you're sure the problem is with PulseAudio, then simply stop using PulseAudio. Install one of these packages to make SDL route sound through it instead ...

Re: Power conntector on motherboard with adaptable power sup
Hi, thanks for the response. So after trying the 6 possible ways the 2x2 connector could be spun and placed into the 4x2 connector, I managed to find a way it would snap in. Everything seems to be working fine. It's not dual socket or anything, but it does support 3 video cards and a 140 Watt CPU. N...

Power conntector on motherboard with adaptable power supply
I have a motherboard with a 12x2 pin power connector and a 4x2 pin power connector. This is what the manual has to say about it: http://i.imgur.com/e8r1m.png Notice that it labels ATX_12V pins 1, 2, 5, 6 as "only for 2x4 pin", it makes me think connecting some of those are optional. Same f...

Re: How to handle a single PS/2 port?
While the connector is physically identical, a keyboard and mouse port are wired differently - the keyboard uses pins 1 & 5, while the mouse uses 2 & 6. (Pins 3 & 4 are Vcc/ground.) Are you sure that's right? Wikipedia has a different story: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS/2_connector A...

Re: How to handle a single PS/2 port?
Visually, many motherboards will color a dual-purpose PS/2 port half-purple, half-green. That is indeed the case with mine. That means a splitter should definitely work, and there's nothing else that may conflict? Is there a particular company I should be getting a splitter from? Or they all basica...

How to handle a single PS/2 port?
I have a computer with a motherboard which only has a single PS/2 port on it. It's kind of annoying when you want to use DOS or something else old with no USB support, and want both a keyboard and mouse present. I see they sell these PS/2 Y Cables (splitters) which allow two PS/2 devices share a sin...

If you're referring to the standard C/C++ libraries being under GPLv3, then that's okay. If you're referring to a different library, please clarify.

Re: gcc optimizations on amd64
This is just a guess, but you're using x86-64 OS, right?
If so, looks like you're getting the typical broken libao error. Use -ad sdl, or see here.
I'm not sure where the compiler optimizations come into play though. Perhaps when you used -O0, you also turned off libao.

Your changes there are certainly wrong. ZSNES does not output 720x480, nor is 720x480 172032 bytes.
