Make c:\zsnes and save there.

Joe Camacho wrote:using NSRT won't magically repair the rom
That actually depends on the ROM and what options you pass it. In quite a few cases, NSRT can repair your ROM saving you from having to find it and redownload it.

I have a special edition of ZSNES with 96000Hz support, but if you want to know why I'm laughing, you'll have to convince me to give it to you ;)

One thing I'd like to see, is a censored version for translation patches.

If you have a tool which automates text insertion, it shouldn't be a big deal to search+replace some text, reconstruct a sentence or two and insert it.

You can already put any key onto any controller.

Doing so with combos is a different story. Took me an hour to disable some mouse clicks the other day, hate to imagine how long something like this would take.

I knew who to ask for help when I needed it.
pagefault, TRAC, and anomie gave me some help when I started working on ZSNES.
It also helps when you're used to learning a language overnight.

You don't know till you jump in head first.

When I started working on ZSNES, my x86 was quite rusty, and I never really touched x86 past the 16 bit days.

There are some command line options that do what you want. Check out the KitchenSync.

Update your video card drivers. You could also try changing your video mode till you find something compatible.

I guess he'll have to stick with Snes9x 1.42 then. :(
That reminds me...
v1.42 is not the latest version.

Are there some benefits from upgrading to DX8 emulation-wise?
Much better input support. You want to be able to use your cool controller to play with, right?

I did a bit of research. ZSNES once upon a time had a special hack for BoF2 which set percentage of execution to 70. I'd consider putting it back in, but I can't even find which bit of code that was taken out did the hacking, all I have to go by is this comment: ; hacks : ; Breath of fire 2 : 100/13...

Providing you meet all the requirements, you must extract the source code somwhere and go into the src directory. Then

./autogen.sh
make
./zsnes

Snes9x doesn't have full support for emulation without graphic packs either.
