Why is it important to make an emulator run just like the real thing if it already looks and acts the same? As mentioned, it doesn't. Not enough, at least, and reaching an acceptable accuracy will prevent these hacks from working correctly. There will come a time when these old zsnes versions don't...

Well, for starters because they will only ever work with one specific version of zsnes. Also, they cease to be Super Nintendo games at that point, so why not just make a PC game anyways?
