If this can't be implemented could the "click enters gui" feature at least be fixed? If I hit esc the gui pops up every time but if I click my mouse it sometimes takes 5+ clicks before ZSNES registers the command. It's as if the mouse is not buffered and button presses aren't captured on c...

I agree with everything you said Deathlike2. Thanks for the clarification of my post. I'm sincerely trying not to be argumentative. If I've ever said a feature would be easy to implement what I truly meant to say was "it seems easy to program from my perspective" or "it would be easie...

Re: DO NOT ASK FOR AVI OR WAV OUTPUT KTHX

We don't plan to implement any such features any time in the near future due to annoying bordering on moronic comments on the part of a certain individual here on the boards. I just read this post again and couldn't help but laugh. Here are the facts: 1) According to you this feature isn't being de...

Maybe I come off that way because you guys act like you know everything when in fact you don't? And you flame me for being stupid when the problem lies with you . I've never said features were easy to implement. I've said implementing features a certain way would be easier than implementing them ano...

I love how I'm the only member of this board who has experience in avi output from several major games yet my valid and helpful advice is deemed annoying and moronic. I'm the only freaking member of this board who came up with all the info on how to do avi output with fraps that doesn't drop frames....

I'm glad the issue is settled. I hadn't tested the latest WIP to see what my CPU usage was at. pagefault, there may be a few opportunities for asm but it's a dangerous practice. ZSNES is living proof that asm is a bad idea all the way around. The gui should be the easiest freaking thing to modify an...

This isn't a bug, it's a design issue. I'm not an asm programmer nor will I ever be. There's little need to program in assembly these days. Anyway, I'm not going to learn the ZSNES code just to fix this issue on my own. Isn't the solution self-evident? Halt emulation while minimized (same halt used ...

ZSNES doesn't always idle while minimized. That's the point, it should. Also, even if it does have to do some work while minimized 50% CPU usage is crazy. Please don't argue. A program capable of running on systems that can't even handle windows shouldn't be using 50% of a 3.4GHz Pentium while mini...

... You think that when you minimize a program to the taskbar it doesn't use any CPU to do its stuff ? Nice little metaphor: You're in front of your best friend. You turn around. Do you think your friend stopped breathing just because you can't SEE him breathing ? Ok, the nice is over now. HAND. We...

Isn't it the case that everyone drops a frame now and then? I don't think the new zmv features would be worthwhile if 60fps was required. I hope you can find the other way you are looking at.

1) 25MB per hour max 2) Depends on seek time and file size. Obviously total random access of the zmv is ideal, whatever you can accomplish is appreciated. 3) Are you saying that if our system ever drops a frame the zmv playback will be corrupt? 4) Not that important. I've seen months of effort put i...

If you people would really like (and I'm sure you wouldn't...) I can start linking to the thousands of forums discussing how 128MB ram for winxp is just insanity and 256MB is still quite stupid. Just google winxp min ram requirements and my freaking point is proven. Geeze... Maybe I should elaborate...

You disabled the swap file completely...on winxp...with 192MB ram? You are satisfied with the results? Photoshop is the most resource-consuming application you run? I'm freaking losing my mind here! If you think even a slimmed down, tweaked to the absolute maximum winxp "works fine" with even 128MB RAM then you must also enjoy a bikeride to work... Why are so many members of this board die-hard supporters of extremely slow computers? I truly don't want to try and start an argument but...

Bug is the same in 1.20. I have good news, though. After ten attempts I couldn't produce a bad zmv in 1.25. The demo recording is different in this release, after loading a state while recording the emu requires you to click stop before you can click record. No other versions of zsnes do this (that ...

Hmm, just made 25+ attempts and couldn't get my zmv's corrupted with any version! I did, however, get them corrupted on the first try when using slow motion while recording. I don't understand your point at all, this is exactly what I said I was doing. Let me explain again. zmv improvements

It would be very convenient to have an auto-record feature for zmv's. For instance when toggled the feature would allow a zmv (call it .zma) to be recorded at the start of every load state. Overwriting of the previous zma would be assumed. Entering the GUI would end the zmv recording. This could be ...

I'd say all games have something like this. If you start performing frame-perfect tricks odd things will start to happen. I've come across tricks in Super Metroid that I'd call random. New info on zmv->avi

As mentioned in the sticky thread at the top of this forum zmv->avi is now possible with fraps. Or so I thought. Tonight it suddenly stopped working for me. With the same settings I was using before the vids I was now capturing were choppy and out of sync. I've found the source of the error, too. To...
