no it wasn't. wtf is a shinespark? super metroid? After getting the speed booster, run till you hit max speed. Hit down to crouch, jump then quickly hit the direction you want to go flying in. I looked it up as soon as I did it, and apparently if you hit a slope, you can stop and store it for anoth...

All the time I have spent playing metroid games. I used so many advanced techniques... I just saw the shinespark for the first time today... did it by mistake, now I feel like a total n00b.
