Hey Gideon, you know the StarFox 2 logo you use in this post? For some reason, my "official" copy of SF2 has another logo. :? Why's that? we redid the logo because the old one looked quite ugly and only made use of 4 of 32 possible colours.(new logo:24) i rendered the new logo in 3d studi...

I must also suggest Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal are all great candidates as well. Great for teaching basics, pointers, Dictionary compression, and VERY easy to work with. Uncompressed font too, which is a big + for newbies.

Thanks, I'm aware of this. One picture was before ZSNES had the graphics pack capability, the graphics looked garbled because they were still technically compressed. The second picture shows how they looked when ZSNES expected a graphics pack but couldn't find one. It ended up showing solid blocks ...

exactly why I wanted him to try it, as the DOS version doesnt use direct x, however, do NOT use a ZSNES savestate with snes9x, use the SRAM file with it.

you could also see if the quirk is present in ZSNES DOS and SNES9X. It could mean something to do with your direct X settings.

thats a bit extreme and almost stupid if only zsnes is giving you problems. My first line of action would be along the lines of trying to find a way to limit the refresh rate as was stated by using the -6 and enabling vsync. If that doesnt work I would go into my adapter properties and tweak those. ...

os and processor speed shouldnt have a bearing on this problem rage, its a matter of the horizontal refresh matching the vertical refresh which is what vsync is supposed to do. Some cards have drivers with an option to activate vsync automatically if you access the advanced properties under your dis...
