Patch is out: here.

Patch comes with an amazing readme which stupefyingly explains that the retranslation was, in fact, effected to find real canon / correct minor details and NOT to attempt to outdo Ted Woolsey's writing!

But feel free to blindly compare it to RPGOne regardless.

Trying to rip something from Chrono Trigger (and failing)

SNESMusic's latest spc rip has a few errors, so I'm creating an alpha and omega archive for the Chrono Compendium. "Final Battle" is being a bastard, though. Every rip I've made (on the latest ZSNES, on ZSNES953a, on the latest Snes9x) sounds like this: http://cc.herograw.org/Zeality/unhea...

Total, and I mean TOTAL thread necromancy, but if you want to see the end of this story, look at http://www.chronocompendium.com/Term/Translation_Differences.html . I've listed all the differences I could find in the 70% complete KW retranslation; once the last 30% comes out, we'll release the scrip...

Troublesome SPC

I've spent the last two days ripping the soundtrack of the Chrono
Trigger Prerelease. One of the tracks, the waterfall/Heckran Cave
ambience, is giving me trouble; I simply cannot pin it down in ZSNES.
Is there a way to extract it directly without playing the game and
using the option to rip SPC data?
