You can press F1, that gives you a menu but you can move it, (I think?)

You need an option that renames or moves files to recompress. Use -rename instead of -ren83if you want full filenames.

Re: Purpose of some files

src/cpu/s65816d.inc src/cpu/se65816.inc Hm. From what I see inside these files, they seem to be the "SA1" version of previously mentionned files. What is "SA1" anyway? :) A kind of a chip or something (??). Is it from there that came the need to duplicate the files? I can answer...

Nightcrawler, I see what you mean, I was never implying the screen and boxshots come from zsnes's end. If people can get their own roms I don't see how pics would be any different. Yeah, could work just like FBA or MAME32 - a "snaps" folder in the save file folder or something, and maybe ...

What if you are encoding MP3s or doing some other intensive task at the same time? Just because most CPUs can handle the basic emulation doesn't mean that offloading some of the task to something else has no merit at all. Not that I really know anything about how all this works, but if it is possibl...

I don't know for sure but I'd bet it isn't, it's probably more like Nach commenting out a bunch of line / files of code.

It's command line but Nach mentioned that he could easily whip together a right click context menu entry to compress and decompress stuff, if he could find his papers on how to do it. I'm sure he'll have it done by the time a standalone jma compressor gets released to the public. Edit: I think he on...

Whatever features could be added to zsnes to make sure that no save states or codes were used, or the verify the ROM's hash, could just as easily be removed by someone compiling their own build. I don't see how this could really work on an open source emulator.

I think his idea is different because it will jump to and match if the search term occurs anywhere in the string rather than just at the beginning, which Zsnes doesn't support that I've noticed.

True, but they are starting to wake up to emulation of late. Not true emulation, but have you seen the classics they've been releasing on GameBoy Advance? I saw the two original Zeldas on a GameCube disc that was a special from Nintendo Power. Yeah, they might use emulation on the GC but I say that...

If Nintendo would make its own emulators easy to get and make its own dumpers very hard to get but possible, then Nintendo will make so much money, by selling there emulators. An even better way for them to make "so much money" would be to make consoles and games and sell them instead. Or...

Of course, dumpers are now considered illegal under the DMCA, but eh. Who cares about that anyways? Hence now you can (I think) sell copiers on e...
