isn't NSRT itself closed source and ZSNES open source? :?
Yes, for the time being anyway.
adventure_of_link wrote: that said, how's NSRT coming along Nach?

It's gonna be renamed GoodSNES. And merged with Cowering's RAWM auditing tool of the same name. Come on, you already know I have NSRT. What's wrong if it's now merged with an emulator? Zee Super Nach's Endangerment Science Haha, stand back, I'm gonna try science. I like it, but we already got a name.

how does Pulseaudio reduce latency? It doesn't, it'd be retarded to think that it does. I wouldn't be surprised if people start saying that PulseAudio's 5-10% CPU usage gives your CPU more MHz, so using it makes your computer faster. Taking notes from your sister, Nach?` No, taking notes from propa...

Good to know they're working on the state of sound in Linux. :) Well yes and no, too many Linux developers are just accepting the status quo, which is a bad thing. Take the current ALSA and fuse it with the 64-bit FP SW mixer from OSS4, integrate JACK2 into the mix (for ridiculously low latencies a...

I'll need to in order to include the Super Game Boy DLL if and when that's ready. Need it? Of course not! You determine the size of the DLL, and put that number into your code, first time your binary is run, it opens itself and copies the last X bytes of the DLL size into a file. After you create t...

I felt it was offensive when it was called Super Mario 2, I never even heard of "Super Mario 2", maybe he's referring to 6 Golden Coins? Stupid ambiguous name usage.

It seems grinvader was discussing what we have working in SVN.

When you've been working on a new version for >2 years, you kind of forget which features were added before or after we released the old one.

We don't point to Defender or Pitfall when we think about who popularized side scrolling games. First doesn't matter, who makes everyone takes notice matters. It's not like the Wii invented motion controllers either. So, what do you guys think about Nintendo's next console coming with a projection k...

Makes me wonder what the big N will pull for the next one. Let's see... D-Pad, side scrolling, pause on the controller. Shoulder buttons, 15 bit color, 3D angle processing. Thumb analog stick, camera angles, force feedback. A big stupid A button??? Motion controller, emulation, off the shelf. Where...

You know how my reading skills are. That said, by one version you're referring to the revision codes (v1.0, v1.1, etc) right? What happens then if you also filter out by considering all regions and revisions as one single title? Eg Final Fantasy 6 = one game, not one for each country and/or revisio...

SA-1 alone is 1% of the games.
The amount this can't play is more like 2.5-3%.

Edit:
Above figures are by amount of unique commercial ROM images available. If we were to go by unique games, since most special chip games ESPECIALLY the SA-1 only came out in one version, the number is more like 5%.

Icons good to signify a particular OS platform

I want to make a download section on a website with icons to signify which OS a particular download is for. Anyone know where I can get a good collection which covers MS-DOS, Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, OS X, and some more? I got some in AWStats which look nice, but they're microscopic. I'm thinking 64...

Super FX games don't run on unmodified copiers. No reason to allow users to keep their images in formats that don't work on copiers. The main reason I removed the code though is that ZSNES's deinterleave code in that case was tied to a lot of other dumb code which was deleted. I could replace it wit...
