the last build of snes9x is from may. OV2's most recent builds can be found here, and are regularly linked to from the snes9x board.

snes9k is a mod of snes9x that uses kalliera for netplay. don't know what version it's forked from, though.

the very first search result on Google for "directx 9.0c xp" is Microsoft's download page.

and xp is ancient... even ignoring Vista, Win7 is over 6 years old.

most likely possibilities:
1. your hacks require a headered ROM and yours is headerless (or vice versa).
2. you're patching a zipped/compressed ROM

this is expected behavior if the hacker didn't correct the checksum.

the config files should be located in ~/.zsnes - modify the video mode selection manually. if you're completely stuck, just delete that directory.

what OS (and what version), where is zsnes located, what is the save path, and how did you start zsnes each time?

what extension (the part after the last period, e.g. ".smc") do your files have?
