First off, like megabyte said, hardly anyone is gonna help you if you use such an old version. to get te latest version, which i HIGHLY suggest (many, many new features and fixes in 1.42 since 1.35), either download the 1.42 source from http://www.zsnes.com , or get the latest CVS source from the So...

the 16bpp in 32bpp problem might be it, but if glgears is running slow, then your drivers arent set up correctly. i remember this from trying to set nvidia drivers up in mandrake. go to #nvidia on irc.freenode.net (IRC), and ask them about it. im sure they will be able to help. for me, i dont think ...

or make it to where zsnes's version number is added to the .cfg and .dat files, so that zsnes can automatically detect a newer version and delete the old files the best thing to do with that would be to preload the cfg and dat files, and rewrite them with each new version, using the settings from th...

no, it is not a raw video file, only a list of timings, etc., that zsnes uses to replay the game exactly as it was recorded. in order to make your own video, see the first post of this thread.

use cvs: http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=19677. 1.42 source is too old for this.

i think she means that she's getting the header info for the rom, but a blank screen. 99.999% sure that the ROM she's trying to load is a bad dump.

Christy:
go find another copy of the rom, or dump it again using that original cartridge , snes, and copier im SURE you have.

I say we look at each game we have a hack for, track down what it's hacking, and fix the problem, thus bypassing the whole issue. It's quite obvious that THIS is the correct solution. Everybody wins here. This is where my vote goes. I hate polls that have no good choices. But all the games with hac...

ROM (not copier) Header Hacks

If they are turned OFF by default, something like a message telling you to turn them on if you experience problems could appear each time you load a rom, that way, people who actually read and know something about what they are doing would be more likely to report decent and new bug reports on the e...

however, there are major differences in the dos gui. we could seperate the windows, dos, and linux gui like we would the faq.

this is definately a good idea, and i just might begin working on it once i have more time (like friday night, sadly, if i have more time, or maybe some day i have off work).

You can also find the latest official docs, as well as the WIP docs, online at zsnes-docs.sf.net . SVN Instructions: ZSNES-Docs trunk repository ...

before you begin work, MAKE SURE YOU DO A CVS UPDATE. There were several changes that I made when re-arranging everything that are no longer in cvs because an old version of the docs were committed. Please dont do this.

a release doesnt remove anything from cvs, and removing the zsnes-docs module after making it a release would be pointless (IMO). Good example: after a release, do the ZSNES admins delete everything within CVS?

Well, still no word on the SourceForge project, but if it is ever accepted, we'd be more than glad to have you as a dev.

With the re-write I've been working on, only a very limited amount of HTML is needed in order to update.

ZSNES Documentation Thread - Current Version 2.0

Ok, since this is still a work-in-progress, we need at least a sticky to help keep everything organized. Now that's been said... I've submitted a project request to SourceForge, and am currently waiting for a decision. If we do get this project, all modifications will be made much simpler. Also, bec...
