Problem with Vista Home Premium (AMD x64)

Hello, I have ZSNES 1.51 (latest official version) on Vista x64 - AMD processor. Launched from an external hard drive. This would work fine in XP but on Vista it's broken, I can't proceed after the 'one-time user agreement' thing and after that the only thing I can do is force shutdown using the but...

Re: Xbox for PC Controller - It Keeps Moving Left

Yeah I had the same problem on an actual 360 where the analogue stick would constantly go down a little bit, irritating me.

Those things are really badly made I guess.

Re: ZSNES is not dead - Still in development

Another question: is 2.0 going to be available on x64 machines? I'm running Vista on an AMD x64 machine so I don't know.

Re: Snes9x is weird?

Oh, yeah.

Anyway the problem is fixed now except that Direct3D doesn't work, but DirectDraw and OpenGL seem to. I don't know why, though.
And anyway I used to think snes9x was called that because it required v9 of DirectX, some reason.

Re: Snes9x is weird?

ME is different to 2k's look? I was referring to 'windows standard' style on XP which on wikpedia says is the 2k/Me style, and 'classic' is 95/98 style But ohwell And I can't see the image right now, I can check later and revise this post. --- OK, I thought we were discussing the OS at one point, lo...

Re: Star Fox (USA, Japan) Video Pauses

I actually feel like hacking them and getting the source just so we have a new version, but best to wait for the official release of course, which would be complete. Good things take time don't forget. I just hope 2.0 has an option to use the classic GUI because I don't like the idea of having to se...

Read: http://acmlm.kafuka.org/board/thread.php?id=8408 Most ROM sites don't bother labelling the type of ROM it is, try searching in your preferred search engine: [game title] (U) [!] and it should be fine (or instead of (U) use (E) if a [!] U dump isn't available). Avoid anything with a on it. I ca...

Re: Snes9x is weird?

Awww, Me-tan tries her best. She's clumsy and not very smart, but she tries. Could be true - at least she shares the look of 2k-tan. iOS is nothing either. iPads are the same as laptops only you can't run what you want to and it's too limited. And the keyboard is stupid on those things. (I was only...

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS

Donkey Kong Country 3. Of course, I'm using ZSNES because it feels more comfortable to play it on there, and there's a little less input lag.

(higan has the worst input lag, ZSNES has the least, apparantly)

Both are superior to 8-tan, 8.1-tan and 10-tan, though, if we settle on both opinions.
Windows Me is the dead baby brother to 2k and XP.

All I can say for now is that I've let something big off my chest - all the AcmlmBoard communities (smwcentral, kuribo64, nsmbhd etc) are all a pile of shit, because all of them have the same community of idiots who toss around with me. At least on real communities (not the same people over and over...

The last version appears to be dated 3/4/2005 (D/M/Y system), and the last version of snes9x appears to be from 2011.

I don't know anything about that emulator, but probably you haven't set it to use a controller or you've select other controller type included.

Or, use ZSNES with netplay (1.4x)

I do. There hasn't been any news on the homepage for about 8 years now, but at least we know 2.0 has been in development and made more perfect. These good things take time.

Oh well, there's still a lot of people who like XP for being better than the ones after it, anyway 7 reminds me of Vista with bug fixes, a couple of removed/hidden programs (Windows Mail etc) and nothing else, 8 is bad and I never tried 10. I'll run that for the 4718th time and see if it works, agai...

Re: Snes9x is weird?

I can't download it in Windows XP, it just gives me the trashy message from Microsoft that XP has ended support and there's no link there. I'll try getting every DLL manually and doing that way, seeing as Microsoft are idiots and WANT me to upgrade to that trash known as Windows 8.1. No thanks, I'm ...

Snes9x is weird?

On a few XP systems I have tried, the Snes9x application (1.53) comes up the usual missing DLL thing, and a bunch of other errors if you put the DLL in there even if DX9.0c is installed.

However 1.52 and 1.51 do not seem to create this error at all.

Any reasons why?

Re: ZSNES is not dead - Still in development

lol, someone said it was the first snes emulator to get a big knowledge, or something like it.

What do you mean by a native GUI? If this means we're getting a new, more modern one, then can we still switch to the 1.51 GUI which I (and probably loads of other people) love?

Re: ZSNES is not dead - Still in development

I can't wait for ZSNES 2.0. Hopefully it fixes the problems we all know about (and I don't care about), makes recording AVI much easier and keeps that classic retro GUI we all love.

ZSNES will live on forever as the first SNES emulator.
