I'm using the Dualshock2 and it treats the buttons as digital whether I'm in analog mode or not. Just the two sticks read as analog. Edit: Here's a pic: http://www.firebrandx.com/downloads/controlscreen.jpg The left axis box is for the left stick, and the z-axis meters are for the right stick. The b...

Sorry, sometimes a post edit is missed and people don't know to check the thread again when the number of posts is still the same.

I'll make sure to edit next time though.

OK, confirmed the PAL controller works perfectly fine on the SFC. My guess is they are all universal.

I have a PAL controller and will test it on my SFC. I can also confirm the SFC controllers are REALLY short. When I plugged in my SFC for the first time recently, I went to grab the controller and I nearly yanked the console off the shelf. I was like, "WTF?? 3 feet??"

Hola Byuu, I've been having a blast with the new marquee feature using that style sheet. Is there by chance a way to make a favorites database where bsnes will use the assigned background for each game in the database? I just think it would be really cool to have a theme for Zelda that only loads fo...

I'm of the opinion that you shouldn't even bother with analog mapping. The snes pad was digital and so I play it with digital mode on my PS2 controller.

Actually the person most directly responsible for the majority of Metroid fans discovering Samus is a girl is Justin Bailey. Even more funny is how Metroid and Kid Icarus were released as twin games, where Kid Icarus was the "male" game and Metroid was the "female" game. Who knew...

Well, spent all day working on this: http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i221/byuusan/stbc8.png http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i221/byuusan/stbc7.png http://i73.photobucket.com/albums/i221/byuusan/stbc6.png 4:06:59 ... made it to #8 on the high score list, and I suspect the top four of cheating (a...

Nice review format! Seeing the original box art and cart really sets it off. Of course I disagree with several of the reviews as they seem to come from a standpoint of 20/20 hindsight, rather than the feeling people had when the game came out, but that's just my personal tastes. I also noticed The S...

snesmusic.org. I remember dumping Prince of Persion a long time ago and contributing the set there. Konami did the best version of the game ever in my opinion. I later played the PC Engine CD rom version and it wasn't anywhere near as good.

I used to be heavy into MUGEN and collected countless fighter characters for a Capcom vs SNK style game. It actually played quite well.

For those that haven't yet and love classic 2D fighters, you should look into the MUGEN community. There's some amazing stuff out there.

Reason being that it's more natural with the layout of the real controller. Agree or disagree?
Agreed. Its a more natural order.

Byuu, I remember you were always against it, but is there a chance you might reconsider putting in a history feature? Sorry, I still hate user-tracking software. You make baby Jesus cry  Seriously though, it's cool. Just though I might test the waters with my toe a little bit there. Neve...

Byuu, I remember you were always against it, but is there a chance you might reconsider putting in a history feature? Just the top 5 most recently played would be really nice. Cut you some slack?? How about cutting me some slack? Yes, the plastic bags are VERY shitty. They are thin, small, and spill very easily. I've had some dump just making a simple turn. But this is all besides the point. Bag quality doesn't matter, and the point I stressed to you is I WAS being cautio...

The OP wasn't in the wrong though, I'm pretty sure if he didn't "proceed with caution" he would be dead there and then. It was the other idiot that was stupid. "Breaking" isn't proceeding with caution, it is not being stupid. "Proceeding with caution" would have been r...

Here's the idea I had for keeping the cord intact. My apologies to byuu since I have to post it here when I mentioned the idea in the other thread.

Hey byuu,

I just though of an idea to keep the cord intact without cutting it off on a pic border. Instead I could have it loop around behind the controller from the top. I'll post an alt version here with that idea and see what you think of it.

Drivers that don't know all the traffic rules:

Not sure about other countries, but here in the states, smaller cities will often switch the traffic lights to flashing red or yellow at night depending on the intersection. As a driver, you're suppose to know what flashing red or yellow means when you approach the intersection. Flashing red means t...
