Re: Problems with save state

1. make sure zsnes has write permissions in the target directory (e.g. in modern versions of Windows, it won't be able to write to anything under %ProgramFiles%)
2. use fully-qualified paths unless absolutely necessary (e.g. C:\path\to\save or /home/user/.zsnes/save)
3. double-check for typos

Re: Running ZSNES On Android

You can fix file associations in Windows 7 easily. Good luck playing Earthworm Jim 2 with sound effects, which are completely missing. Or ZMZ, Snes9x core running in a Zsnes GUI. But who am I kidding, I never convinced anyone before, no point in me trying to show my side over here. SNES9X.. should ...

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS

Alphas are much easier to attack from the front in the original. Also, in AM2R, all Metroids seem to have a brief invulnerability window after being hit which prevents you from juggling them. my first playthrough was unassisted, 92% of items in just over 6 hours. i knew i wasn't going to make any sp...

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS

i thoroughly enjoyed AM2R, but I also thoroughly enjoyed the GBA Metroids. Alphas and Gammas are significantly more threatening in the early parts of the game - their weak spots have been reduced, and they're more aggressive. Zetas and Omegas have been changed dramatically, more in line with the Ome...

Re: Game Save Error

zsnes doesn't know where to look for the saves. launch zsnes directly (no running it by double-clicking ROM files) and define your save path (via config -> paths).

Re: ZSNES is not dead - Still in development

I'm using it with a wifi SD card Holy crap, I didn't even know there was such a thing. Very very interesting. Are they expensive? Can you update files on it while the hardware is running? they were introduced around the time DSLRs got big but SD card capacities hadn't (maybe '04-'05?) - it allowed ...

where is zsnes located, and what is the save path defined as?

my guess is you have it in a place where zsnes doesn't have write access (like %programfiles%).

Re: WHAT GAMES ARE YOU PLAYING THESE DAYS

Ratchet & Clank (the reboot). It's phenomenal so far (just finished Blackwater City), and peppered with references to the originals and the occasional fourth-wall poke about it being a remake.
