Re: lordmissus's hate thread

I will be back As if you can resist coming back here. You have the mistaken idea that you will somehow "pwn" us at some juncture. Unfortunately, your mannerisms are such that it will never happen. You will rage, we will lol. It is the natural order of things. Where is the obligatory "...

Re: lordmissus's hate thread

I am a type of person who can forgive and forget; but the people that I have a grudge against here are a special breed of "people". They just get me stirred up everytime. Then clearly, you haven't really learned anything. Well, I have a moral highground from the sense that even though the...

Re: I cant find my roms?

I get the feeling the ROMs are all in 7z, thus making this endeavor seemingly hard, but glaringly obvious.

Extract the contents of the compressed file into the ZSNES folder. That's how you keep things simple.

Re: will this pc be able to handle zsnes?

i don't know what I'm more amazed by - that SiS still exists or that Dell used a non-Intel chipset. The former. Dell has produced AMD based systems so of course that isn't entirely true (unless you fix your quote). I don't think there are any 3rd party mobo chipset makers for a long while now since...

Re: AMD & NV drivers - now with OpenGL 4.2 & OpenCL 1.1 supp

It's not going any better for Windows 7 according to others.

It's getting worse before it's getting better. The above link is from an NVidia fansite... so it's not exactly cherry picking these kinds of complaints.

Re: AMD & NV drivers - now with OpenGL 4.2 & OpenCL 1.1 supp

It is pissing me off nonetheless. It's probably going to get worse before it gets better. Considering that modern flash based websites like Hulu effectively require you to be up to date with Flash, this is getting more annoying by each update. Edit: Linkage for the Adobe blame info would be nice. 2n...

Re: AMD & NV drivers - now with OpenGL 4.2 & OpenCL 1.1 supp

I've been very pissed off at NVidia's XP drivers post 260.xx series. There are Flash issues that occur... including browser freezing/OS unresponsiveness/BSODs. I know this is an XP whine, but tbh, these things shouldn't happen. Also, in the 270.xx series that I've used last... the freaking driver up...

Re: Off Center Full Screen

I'd still tinker with the refresh rate, just to be sure. Usually that should trigger the monitor's auto-adjust feature (and potentially self-correct itself). Alternatively, you could force ZSNES to a specific refresh rate and see if that helps (you could do it either from the DXDiag refresh rate ove...

Re: Off Center Full Screen

I'm wondering of any sort of power saving mode for your monitor is coming into play. It shouldn't happen on its own, but not doing stuff on the keyboard usually allows monitor power saving to trigger. A reboot is in order IMO. Edit: It could also be some sort of refresh rate issue... try changing it...

I am fearful of a bleak future where we preserve and communicate information via raw source code only... Ugh... Source code is not documentation! If he stops reprogramming it after a few months, he'll forget half of what his code will do... or maybe he'll redo everything again. Reminds me the days ...

Are you loading tons of cheats? There is a limit to the # of cheats you can have enabled per game.

My only suggestion is to remap those keys via Config->Misc. It shouldn't operate like that, but laptop keyboards tend to work a bit different than a standard keyboard.

Make sure that ZSNES points to the correct directory by editing ~/.zsnes/zsnesl.cfg

Case sensitivity can screw things up.

Outdated documentation? Impossible!

The problem ultimately is that the documentation is useless until someone bothers to update it months later. Like everyone that adopts new stuff, you have to live with the fail that exists until someone figures it out for you.

Re: Best DVD Reading Drive Brand?

Ugh... RMAing the replacement drive (which is drive #2). Clearly the DVD burner is like possessed or something. Tried to burn a simple CD and it fails on verification.. plus the data on the burned CD is not quite all there. (FYI, it was burned @ 16x speed, which should improve burning/readability). ...

The first two links are products from companies that make this type of stuff, like converters and cables (you can get a fair idea of what they are from all the products they sell)... the latter two I have no idea.

Re: How to handle a single PS/2 port?

I'm not sure how old this system is, but surely there is some sort of old AT keyboard connection available (strangely, I still have one of those types of keyboards around)? Otherwise serial mice with the proper DOS driver should work... A PS/2->serial converter (for the mouse) or a PS/2->AT converte...
