It's not professional quality, but still plenty fun, right? Nonsense. Compared to Breath of Fire 2, it's QUITE professional. A 12 year old's Mario Brothers hack with mario's penis is more professional than that steaming pile of crap translaion for Breath of Fire 2! Well, yes, but that's not the poi...

... You think that when you minimize a program to the taskbar it doesn't use any CPU to do its stuff ? Nice little metaphor: You're in front of your best friend. You turn around. Do you think your friend stopped breathing just because you can't SEE him breathing ? Ok, the nice is over now. HAND. We...

This is NOT A REQUEST, but could you please retranslate Asteroids? Atari totally screwed up the translation. It's SUPOSED to say "Player defeated. Place credit."

They are probably talking about the cheat where you push select, and you can scroll through power ups, like fire, leaf etc. I used to have a rom like that  Bingo. I'm not sure if it still works, but it did in an older version of ZSNES. Nach, or someone else, said that it was a bug in the emul...

This is not a glitch. It is a hardware limitation. The SPC700, the SNES's dedicated sound computer, is only capable of playing 8 sounds at the same time, unless you count the complex system that ToP and SO use. Checking SoM's SPCs in Super Jukebox, much of the music gets uses 7 or 8 channels. So wh...

Indeed. Sucks the fun out for me. I've had too many crashes or other unrecoverable glitches.

There's 2 versions. I can confirm. The ROM cart version, the one Gideon translated, has been broke for... well, forever. It was made playable(but not perfect) immediatly after patch release with a hack that was stripped out of the next version. The BS version has never run. It gripes about missing h...

As an example, there's a recently posted Super Robot Wars 4 glitch. That was introduced quite some time back. 1.35, if I recall. Maybe 1.36. I believe I reported it at the time. It's been ignored totally since then. If it was FF3 that got broken, it would've been fixed immediatly. Just to note that...

Re: ntsc pal problem

Is there a possibility, to start so one german rom with NTSC, or with 60 Hz? Thanks and sorry about my bad english :) I don't think there is, you'd have to patch the rom image itself to get something like that (e.g. The 60Hz patch for Terranigma). Besides, forcing NTSC in PAL games and vice versa u...

I want to see emulation fixes. Not so much because ZSNES isn't perfectly accurate to a real SNES, but because targeting specific games means that those of us with less-than-mainstream tastes tend to get the short end of the stick when a fix for a mainstream game breaks one we like that maybe 2 dozen...

Look at the bottom bar. Now fire up the ROM image and try it.
The bottom status window rolls with the background image in the battle area.

The problem is usually accelerated if unlicensed devices are used with the SNES. Many of them have thicker PCB's which stretch the pins wider than a normal cartridge would. The Game Genie for the NES was the worst offender. Many found that they couldn't play their games without one after using it. ...

Right.
The stretch to 640*480 generates artifacts. Not stretching it gives you a wonky aspect ratio.

TV's and monitors work in basically the same way. They both convert all inputs to 4:3 ratio in an analog way. The main difference is that PC monitors are progressive scan(TV's are interlaced), and use higher resolutions. ZSNES doesn't feed a monitor the 512*448 image, either. It converts the image ...

This has been discussed multiple time on the board before, I just fear that the threads are gone thanks to the recent sweep. I think it has something to do with how TV stretches the image differently, and how the aspect ratio isn't exactly the same on TV than on a monitor's screen TV's and monitors...
