The general public does not care about accuracy. Or so it would seem. If the game looks and feels the same, most average users will not care if it's emulated inaccurately.

Either try an older version of ZSNES, or use a different SNES emulator.

I do wish that NSRT allowed for arbitrary JMA compression instead of only processing ROMs with good checksums... I have some "bad" ROMs (patched, hacked, translated) that I still want to hold on to, but they're SMC files while the rest of my ROMs are JMA. You can use the -renext command. ...

I would suggest that the docs/readme.* folders be named to something like "html", "text", and "chm" instead. You may also want to put a copy of license.txt in the same directory as the executable (and still keep license.htm and license.txt in the html and text folders),...

It sounds good to me, though it's definitely a team decision that should be made. It's important that we get _Demo_'s approval, of course.

Excuse my ignorance, but what's the official reason for the move to BountySource anyway? My understanding is that SourceForge was down too often. That's all important, when you think about it. Stopping development because SF is down is not productive. I agree. Which leads me back to my proposal in ...

Which is why I said that we would have to make negotiations with him. I would imagine that zsnes.sf.net does exist, except it just redirects to www.zsnes.com.

Discussion about the future of the Docs

I'll get straight to the point. I've been doing a little thinking about the eventual move of the Documentation Project from SourceForge to BountySource. While I like the idea of better unity between the two projects (as in, both being hosted in the same trunk/server), I see a small potential problem...

Would someone who has access to the site like to add a page hit counter somewhere? I'm curious about how many hits the site gets.

Re: What's the big deal with the NES format?

What is UNIF vs iNES? Which is the better solution? UNIF was an attempt to replace the iNES format. Unfortunately, it never really picked up, as many emulators aren't compatible with it (especially the older ones, which some people still use). I think the format itself is still incomplete as well. ...

It seems a bit too trivial for words. If you or someone else can think of a good way to describe it in the docs, by all means add it. Otherwise, I'll look into it later when I'm on Windows.
