Was anyone here affected by this? I thought we had at least one person here from Blacksburg/VT. EDIT: It was PFUNK I was trying to think of.
The three people I know from there are fine.

I don't really download music with torrents, so I don't think I have much to worry about at this point.Deathlike2 wrote:If true, then Nightcrawler isn't paranoid. In fact, you should be very very scared. I'm serious.

Forgive me for the thread rez, but I think this is relevant. I just thought I'll add this here: I just tried Azureus 3 beta - what a shitheap. I am using uTorrent from now on. Azureus 3 is now out of beta, I think? So now it's Azureus/Zudeo and then Azureus/Vuze. Anyway, I've been using Azureus for ...

other rom has bad checksum (as being patched with translation .ips) and nsrt also told that the rom probably overdump. safetrim wont trim it obviously, but if i force trim it, the rom won't work anymore (luckyly i backup that rom, as nsrt readme suggest), result checksum is bad {case B} NSRT will n...

Tetris & Dr. Mario
So, tonight I played the Dr. Mario half of this game for the first time. I love the sound effects. Has anyone ever noticed how similar many of the sounds effects are with Earthbound's? It was uncanny, for me. On a related note, this is the first time I've noticed that the Tetris on this rom has the ...

VS Unisystem and Playchoice 10 DAT
Does anyone know of a good DAT that can scan VS Unisystem and Playchoice 10 files? They don't appear to be included in the No-Intro NES DAT. Also, what DATs are generally used to scan arcade ROMs? Is it the main MAME DAT from logiqx.com? I finally figured out how to use CLR Mame Pro (I had been usin...

I believe that what the guy is complaining is the lack of keyboard shortcuts to Game/Config/Cheat/Netplay/Misc, and their subitems. You can navigate most of the ZSNES GUI with a keyboard. Please, everybody, read this: http://zsnes-docs.sourceforge.net/html/gui.htm before you say anything else that ...

CloudOfSmoke, depending on what kind of features you are looking for, I recommend trying out bsnes: http://www.byuu.org . There is also a thread in the Emulators section of this forum about bsnes. It has a very nice Windows GUI, and bsnes is one of the most accurate SNES emulators right now. If you ...

It seems like the highest its rated is 850mhz but the difference in cost between a 1ghz p3 slot 1 and a 850mhz p3 slot 1 is like a dollar. If your motherboard/processor support multiplier changes, you could just get the 1ghz processor, and if it doesn't work at stock speed, lower the multiplier unt...

NSRT ( http://nsrt.edgeemu.com ) is the current state-of-the-art in terms of SNES ROM sorting/scanning/renaming, etc. An added bonus is that the creator and main developer of NSRT is also a developer for ZSNES. There's also a guide here: http://zsnes-docs.sourceforge.net/nsrt/ that provides step-by-...

Open- vs. closed-source (also looking for good image viewer)
I'm looking for a good, compact image editor that works in Windows XP, with the following features: - Can view the most common file types, like jpg, gif, bmp, and png. - Can read images directly from common archive formats, at least ZIP. Must also be able to move forward and backward alphabetically ...

thanks. so where did you go to school? More importantly, where do you live? Are you rich and you could go to school anywhere? What grade are you in? Have you applied to college yet?
