Re: not to brag and all...

Nice. I know you've mentioned them before, but what are some of the projects you're working on? The posts you made earlier about your projects are buried DEEP within your VR thread.(that I derailed) Sorry about that dude; I promise not to derail your gay little bragging thread :P

Re: HOW DO You Full screen zsnes (btw i'm too stupid to lear

When you set a resolution, make sure S(stretch) is included as well as F(full screen) and preferably D(allow filters) as well. Keep in mind if you're using Windows 8 you'll probably experience severe speed issues in full screen mode with ZSNES. If you do, switch to SNES9x 1.53(x64) Stretch just disa...

Fuckin' POS isn't even pixelized RIGHT. Select and start exist blatantly outside the voxel grid. If an election were held in order to crown the king of the nerds, you'd be right in there  I mean that in a good way because you know your shit. Re: So how about that there VIRTUAL REALITY stuff huh?

I'm unfamiliar with the VB's development, but Yokoi should get a lot more credit for his creative vision. I've read that he was at least partially Miyamoto's mentor, so he really should give Yokoi as much credit as possible. If he hadn't created the GB, Nintendo wouldn't have NEARLY as much cash as ...

Johan: That's just a rumor I heard somewhere. I enjoy seeing how far I can get in debates with zero or VER...

Re: So how about that there VIRTUAL REALITY stuff huh?

If dinosaurs were still alive today, they'd probably taste like poultry. Dinosaurs evolved into birds, and I've heard that the T-Rex's closest(currently living) relative is the chicken. I've heard that some dinosaur fossils that've been found actually contained small amounts of soft tissue; how is t...

Re: So how about that there VIRTUAL REALITY stuff huh?

If I were her, I'd want as little recognition as humanly possible. I personally dislike getting lots of attention even if it's positive. Sociopaths are notorious for being attention whores. Because more extreme cases actually have to manually develop fake personas in order to appear normal, many of ...

Re: So how about that there VIRTUAL REALITY stuff huh?

Thanks for the examples Gil, and Jobs most definitely sounds like a sociopath although we'll never truly know. Woz sounds like a really nice guy, ie a perfect person for a sociopath to take advantage of because the sociopath(Jobs in this case) knew Woz wouldn't hold it against him. I prefer the &quo...

Re: Merry Christmas, you lovable assholes.

I don't think science will ever prove or disprove God or other supernatural belief systems, but you never know. Gil did make a good point in that science and faith, while similar in many ways, are totally different from a philosophical perspective. I was an atheist for the vast majority of my life. ...

I haven't seen Pirates of Silicon Valley or Jobs so I can't comment on either movie. Gil: What makes/made you think Jobs was a sociopath? I was never interested in Jobs or Apple for that matter, so I've never tried to analyze the guy. What specifically makes you think Jobs was a sociopath? I'm neutr...

Re: So how about that there VIRTUAL REALITY stuff huh?

Steve Jobs was almost certainly a sociopath. So we deified him, played down any contributions anyone else might have made to his success, and produce completely fictional biography movies about him. From what I've heard about him(manipulative as all hell and incredibly charismatic among other thing...

Re: Merry Christmas, you lovable assholes.

I was referring to science possibly proving the existence of God, although I have absolutely no idea how that(proving OR disproving) could be done. If science is ever able to prove the existence of extra dimensions, parallel or alternate universes or any of that trippy stuff, who knows what the resu...

Re: So how about that there VIRTUAL REALITY stuff huh?

In all seriousness, I think sociopaths should be publicly exposed as often as possible because they hurt so many people mentally as well as physically. Naturally, you'd have to know a person very well in order to even suspect he/she is a sociopath, but I've researched and dealt with enough of them(t...

Re: Merry Christmas, you lovable assholes.

Not knowing what the original oral religious story or stories were makes it very difficult to assume anything like that. That said, thanks a lot for the link. I'm VERY new to religion as a whole so I'm pretty naive about its history, although not nearly as naive/ignorant as, say, Christians who hate...

Re: Merry Christmas, you lovable assholes.

You got me there, Gil. Any ethereal/spirit being should be able to shapeshift, God or not. A being of pure energy would likely be able to take any form it wanted without issue, hypothetically. I do believe many pantheistic religions describe the same entities in different cultural terms and contexts...

Re: So how about that there VIRTUAL REALITY stuff huh?

Some sociopaths may appear mild-mannered or even decent on the surface, but from the research I've done on the condition as well as my personal experience knowing 3 of them for very long periods of time, they're anything but. Sociopaths/psychopaths, being emotionless with no true base personalities ...

Good point. Gore and Romney are very similar in that I've never seen either display any semblance of emotion that seemed genuine. Re: Merry Christmas, you lovable assholes.

Well, FF characters that're based on myths are usually VERY loosely based on them, so I don't take FF games' Norse/Greek//Roman/whatever mythology seriously as far as accuracy is concerned. In FF9, Sleipnir(spelling? wikipedia is unreliable) has 6 legs instead of 8 while Odin himself has 2 eyes inst...

lol, can't believe I missed that. That's the funniest and most disturbing description of ole' St. Nick I've ever come across. The corporate image of "Santa Klaus" is pretty strage because the original St. Nicholas was probably a dark haired olive-skinned dude. Except when he was Odin. Tho...

Re: So how about that there VIRTUAL REALITY stuff huh?

I don't use the word abomination purely as rhetoric. I genuinely consider the idea of an immortal, genetically enhanced cyborg to be an abomination. However, it's probably not the best word to use because it's so inflammatory. The only reason we re-started this debate was because of someone else but...

Give me a break, Gil. Just because I oppose the most extreme elements of the transhumanist movement doesn't mean I'm anti-science. You accuse me of using rhetoric(which I do) yet you do the same thing by trying to paint me as someone who hates the idea of ALL scientific advancement. I'm not going to...
