IIRC the Arkanoid controller came with the NES version of Arkanoid. You're right. The SNES one supported mice, though. Sadly, it doesn't work as well as it should because the game adjusts the mouse acceleration with ball speed, so you're never sure how far to move the mouse to get where you're going.

Legally, you can only own ROM images you have dumped from software you own. If you transfer ownership, backups are destroyed or go with it. Hypothetically, you could legally use your backups as replacements for stolen software, but the courts pr'ly won't believe you. Morally varies, but my view is t...

So let's say I have a save file that's somewhat into the game. That won't be interfered with even if I state saved before? Bingo. Real saves, unlike state saves, do not preserve the conditions that originally caused the crash in most cases(I can think of a few interesting ones in FF6/3 that are sav...

ahh yes. laptop video chips and drivers... Based on your description, I doubt your card has hardware scaling, and reverts to HEL to do the drawing. Software scaling == slideshow. On a chip that old, it's pretty much guaranteed. And that's EXACTLY the problem. To explain for those that don't "g...

The 3 ways to fix this problem WOULD have been... A. Alt-enter. B. Go to the video menu and select a new windowed video mode, as ZSNES' "maximize" button merely toggles between windowed and fullscreen modes. Might've been made more difficult since you couldn't see the menu bar. Which leads...

3. Audio is the same. Improve the audio. I believe it was ESNES or NKLSNES that had an option to tremendously enhance the audio with echo and kakalia effect. I have not heard audio like this anywhere else and it far surpassed the real SNES audio. The difference between MIDI & Mp3. Improving aud...

Re: Xbox controller and you!

Also is it possible to use the left joystick as a control pad Yes. ZSNES maps analog axes as a button pair, and cross-links the first one with a d-pad. Thanks a lot, I was wondering if the "all one button" nature of the control pad would make it less precise, but it sounds like it works p...

At first I didn’t thought of setting the input to Keyb/Joystick because I never use default buttons. In older versions you never had to do that. Actually, you did. If you didn't, the controls didn't work, because you configured a "disconnected pad. " And ZSNES reset the controls when you ...

Re: Best way to add snes controller?

Hi, I've been playing snes roms for a while, but I am getting tired of using a keyboard. What is the best way to attach a snes controller to the computer? I see the usb adapter on the front page, is that the easiest/best method? Or is another way to do it easier? And also, what drivers would I need...

It has a USB port at the end that connects to a box that allows you to plug your controller in, but then again I think they all come like that. No, they don't. Neither the AC waveform noise nor the limited draw speed is an issue anymore. Both are holdovers from TV standards created a half a century ago, and are going to DISAPPEAR when DTV gets rolled out fully. And interlacing should die with the changeover to DTV, but that would make life to simple, so t...

movies are 24fps due to cost of filmstrip. its the minimum needed to fool the brian into sensing motion, and an average feature being several miles of film, it makes a difference. NTSC is also shitty interlaced. but thats irrelevant - you are getting a non-interlaced picture using a snes emulator anyways. No, you dumbfuck.
Amiga was a standalone company.
Commodore had a distribution contract with Amiga.

It's like saying the NES was made by Mattel because Mattel distributed the NES in Canada.

Fact: NINTENDO was the one in trouble at the time, because the market WANTED CD add-ons and they refused to deliver. Where did you get that from? Your ass? From a couple years' worth of old game magazines, actually. There was a LOT of negative press when they canned the SNES CD. While modern common...
