The only bad news in the translation scene is when somebody gives up on a game. The fact that noone started to translate this game yet doesn't mean it'll never be translated. Hope and patience are your best bet... Or, hard work and patience (again) if you get on the other side of the scene and do it...

Well, knowing how you configured the sound in zsnes might help.
In case you've missed the menu, it's CONFIG->SOUND.

The snes-accurate settings are 32000Hz samples, gaussian interpolation and no low-pass filter.

Or simply alt-tabbing with a fullscreen zsnes.
Bringing up the GUI pauses the game, anyway.

Did anyone actually beat it? I think it took me about 3 days and ~30 hours. Beating it is not hard, even with the extra dungeon. I used ~40 hours per game to make everybody master every skill and stuff. I only miss the 'get all the talents for everybody' part, which is (1) unnecessary, (2) tedious ...
