I envy you. You are in for a good time. This game has one of the best stories I ever had the pleasure of playing. Although it is heavy on the reading.

I tried this when it was leaked a month ago....still looks and feels like vista. I'm not impressed. Why is it, when people think of progress, I have to relearn a system from scratch....that's progress?? I don't think so. They should of just fixed XP and built upon a proven operating system. As far a...

a good-quality 500W PSU would be fine for that machine. corsair, enermax, antec (earthwatts), seasonic, pcp&c, etc. If you pay for power I'd also definitely recommend a high efficiency PSU. I have a 430 Watt Antec Earthwatts, and with electricity rates in New York City it saves me $20 a month. ...

I believe it does. No funny little crashes yet. I bought the PSU about 4 years ago to replace an aging 300W piece of crap. I was using the 300W for about 6 years before that. Back then I didn't have a lot of power draw from my fans and the old video card didn't take power. I will probably pick up a ...

I know it's early but what the hell.... I do not let my wife buy anything computer related, so when I told her I wanted a new PC, I was the one that picked it out. This is my early Christmas present but not my only one: (new)MB------------------ASUS P5QC (new)CPU-----------------Intel Dual Core 2 e8...

I remember reading the actor passed away in 2006 from lung cancer, I believe. It's really too bad too, Gkar was a great character. There was a new movie planned "The Memory of Shadows" but was cancelled in 2005. It would of connected to the short lived TV series Crusade. There still trying...

Funny you should mention this... I just finished my B5 marathon this last month. Only thing left is "Crusade" (It's the spin-off, Panzer88). Some of the best Sci-Fi ever. The acting was a little weak at times, but over all, it really had some depth and character that Star Trek didn't have....

Franky reminds me of this guy called Tigerguy, who used to frequent the Zsnes board back in 2001. I think he eventually got banned, but the board was much more active back then. Franky amuses me. It still amazes me that such dull people continue to go on and on. It's because obvious stuff doesn't d...

When Mom Bomb changes, STOP attacking. Have Yang, use his Brace ability, and Defend for everyone else. If you have to, set auto battle to do the commands for you. That way it saves seconds on you having to input them manually. My whole team survived with this strategy. Cecil was around level 20. I k...

I.E's the reason I switched to Firefox; IE was completely unreliable IMHO. Then again, it's MS, so, that's a no-brainer. Almost completely positive he was joking. ditto. no one would actually be not-joking about recommend ie over firefox. Then you don't know PHoNyMiKe at all. It's what he uses...fo...

Nothing "by default" on Windows XP requires .net. The only program I use it for is Paint.NET and I've tried to get rid it, so I could loose net framework, but I use it way too much. If you have no "third party" programs that require it, ditch it, Windows won't notice. It's that s...

Here's a link with instructions on how to calibrate the laser. If your friend feels up to doing it himself, that is. I never attempted this myself so I give no guarantee on the out come. Just info I've picked up here and there. Hope it's something useful. http://www.megagames.com/ps2/ps2_laser_calib...

The best write speed I've always heard mentioned is 4x or slower for DVDs. It seems to be a strict rule of thumb amongst the DVD burning community.

My understanding: The DVD laser is set wrong. When installing a mod chip there are several hardware issues with ps2 lasers going out. This can be fixed in a couple of ways. One is to have a fix, soldered onto the board, to prevent it from burning out (the laser). The other is to manually calibrate t...

ConvertXtoDVD

or

DVD Santa

or

Nero Vision

Tried them all, I prefer The first one. I don't use Nero anymore since 7 went to 8 and Dvd Santa seems like it takes for ever.
