The PS3 hasn't been released in Europe yet, so the situation could change when it is.

Don't forget the request for a built-in mp3 player:

This was the first thread created in the Development forum, I might add.

I've committed some of this. Roughly, what's left to do is: Explain the save directory somewhere else, and in a better way. Cover IPS patching troubleshooting somewhere. Mention the scanlines looking awful FAQ somewhere else. Gamepad troubleshooting. Explain why dynamic recompilation isn't used. Men...

I looked over the FAQ; here are some of the questions that I think could be candidates for removal, or better placement elsewhere in the docs. I'm also interested in suggestions about the DOS FAQ. Universal Qs What is the "save directory"? - This isn't an FAQ. I just dumped this here becau...

Yes, I think I would like to put that thread to rest. IMHO, it's better to post each new suggestion in a different thread. It's easier to maintain, since we can just lock the threads when we are finished documenting the info in them.

In the docs: Playing back a previously recorded movie will overwrite any SRAM data for the current game with the SRAM data contained in the ZMV file. This means you should back up your SRAM files when playing around with movies!! Possibly a dumb question, but does this not apply when the "Do No...

Thanks for the list. Condensed lists like this one are easier to follow than 5-page long threads (Deathlike: hint :P)

I am sorry for the lack of updates recently. I have yet to test out the game-specific input feature, and I don't know too much about the MZT directories and ZSS files.

Another thing you could try is enable the "SRAM Check + Save" option in ZSNES. Just open ZSNES, then go to Config-->Saves and enable the option. Then play a game and see if it saves.

I commented out those things in the libbase.h file, ran "make PLATFORM=x-gcc-sdl" and still got a few errors. I could post them if you want, otherwise I'll just wait till the next release.

Thank you for your help, though.

Compiling bsnes on Linux

Or more specifically, Xubuntu. I can't seem to find any documentation or instructions anywhere that explain how to compile it. Recent versions should compile, shouldn't they? After running make in the ui directory, I get the following error: g++ main.cpp In file included from main.cpp:3: ../base.h:3...

Actually, I just realized that we could remove (or rather, hide) all the sections of that page, except for the note at the top about netplay being disabled. Then when netplay is readded, we can put it all back. So would this be a bad idea or no?

I'm thinking about removing the "Links and Utilities" section from netplay.htm. Most of the utilities listed in there are, AFAIK, inactive. They also have no official affiliation with ZSNES anyway.

Any comments/objections?

I'll occasionally backup important files onto my USB flash drive. I don't think it exceeds 10 MB (maybe even 5). It's mostly just schoolwork and passwords. There's nothing else on my hard drive really worth backing up, as I could easily re-download much of it anyway. I don't mind doing that.
