Re: Disgaea is coming to PC

Yeah none of these PC ports of japanese consoles games interest me. It just doesn't feel right to run them as a Windows program. And they often just feel disjointed like FFVII-IX with their mismatched character/background resolutions. Having typed that I looked at the screenshots and it turns out I...

Disgaea is coming to PC

I don't know if Grinvader is aware of this, but fucking Disgaea is coming to PC with new textures and the Afternoon of Darkness content! (He's like the only person I know here who is interested in the game). http://store.steampowered.com/app/405900/ More info: http://steamcommunity.com/games/405900/...

Re: Snes9x is weird?

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35 contains a broken link to the DirectX Web Updater which is what I strongly recommend people use. There's also this problem: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=34429 is an old 2007 copy of the web updater and https://www...

Re: ZSNES and SMW hacking

Grinvader, did you create zsnes? As the about box would tell you, I didn't. I ask because early on in this thread you seemed to imply involvement with the 2.0 update project. 1) He is not the creator of ZSNES, but he is a current developer of the project. 2) As far as I know, there is no public alp...

Re: Video Card Upgrade Advice

I always find it better to keep the computer plugged in, but the switch turned off. The case remains earth grounded in that case, and if there's any exposed metal, you can hold on to it and generally be safe touching stuff. Yeah, that's what we do, as well as a anti-static wrist strap we clamp to t...

Ground yourself and the computer before handling any electronics and also remember to plug a power cable in to the video card if the video card demands one.

Re: Gambatte 0.5.0-wip2 released

It happens regardless of audio engine used and I'm unsure if changing audio engine while the problem is in effect, resolves it. Question: What do the Primary Buffer and Global Buffer options do for Direct Sound? I have them both disabled.

I ask because the current wip is prone to having the audio crackle and distort and be horrible in general sometimes when multi-tasking between programs. Doesn't fix until you restart the entire emulator.

Multi-threading multi-threads the rendering engine to improve performance on computers with a multi-core CPU/multiple CPU's however I believe it is buggy or can cause problems so it's best to leave it turned off.

the lasted zsnes version have problems with some roms like super mario rpg :( Just use ZSNES v1.36, sure you'll get lag/dialog box glitching whenever there is dialog and lag when using a Starman powerup on the overworld but other then that it will work fine without crashes and will be super fine in...

Re: Disgaea 1 transmigration question.

I believe it does, yes. Quick question, I've never really dabbled in transmogrifying monsters or managing Monster type characters at all lol and was just wondering what the # Kills stat determines when transmogrifying one?

Re: Disgaea 1 transmigration question.

Wait so after having a fresh look at it, all stats influence how big the YBB is (Increasing non-linearly, unlike how equipment scales when leveled up?), bonus levels influence the total amount of bonus points you can assign yourself and each tier of transmigration quality has a different cap on YBB?...

However, the less quality in your transmogrify, the lower the YBB cap. 40 is genius only. But then you discover Disgaea... ah Disgaea, wonderful game that is, shame how it doesn't seem to work on many LCD TV's via Component A/V? Or has that changed in recent times?

Re: Sly Cooper Trilogy (PS3) question/s

1) Don't know, but I'm fairly sure that the game requires a 3D TV. 2) The games are all the same with the exception of most (all?) FMVs being 4:3. I don't remember seeing any lag when I played. The boat combat section was quite difficult, but beatable. The Challenge Mode with the boat combat sequen...

Sly Cooper Trilogy (PS3) question/s

1) Does Sly Cooper 3 still support the Red and Cyan 3D glasses or did they change it to now require a 3D capable TV? 2) Are there any notable problems or changes I should be aware of between the original PAL PS2 releases and the PS3 Trilogy? Extra easy, more buggy, made the boat combat beatable etc....
