judging by the issues you were having, going to a store would have been more immediate.

a hard copy would redeem through steam as well. the game uses steamworks.

if it's not for a speed run or anything, take the hit and continue playing.

the situation you describe sounds like you want player1 and player2, so why do you want to play two player with both of you as player1?

i haven't used in an emulator, but my wired 360 controller is great for what i use it for. things like braid or batman AA.
