I like the background style of the second one. But I don't like the famicom color things they just don't fit, they need to be redesigned to work in any of those banners, thats just imho though also while the new board text looks fancy, its strangely more vibrant than zsnes and makes zsnes look dull...

What the fark do you mean? Nothing negative, if that's what you think I'm thinking :) It's just that you've made a thread like this before, if I recall. It's good to have you back! Oh, and if you're interested, I had a new forum logo prepared for you recently: http://board.zsnes.com/phpBB2/viewtopi...

It also gives one major advantage: you can control the entire UI from a gamepad / joystick, so you don't have to sit in front of your PC to play games. Something native GUIs cannot do on their own. But with a standard interface everything is the same between emulators and other types of software so...

I just have a bad habit of focusing on the negative sometimes. Something I'm working at. Yes, when saying something like the SuperFX isn't going to happen... just like SA-1 used to? Even though you might think it's impossible now, I have full confidence you can pull it off eventually . Try being mo...

You know, even though your site looks simple, I like it.. it brings back memories of how most emulation sites used to look like last century (meant positively) :)

Given I won't ever be able to retire, in the off chance I made another emulator, it wouldn't aim for anywhere near the same level of precision. Of course you are free to do whatever you see fit, but in my opinion it would be quite a shame if you'd throw away the idea to aim for a more accurate appr...

With a DS emu, you also run into the massive noob issues about Pokemon and crap. Why not just blacklist the ROMs using SHA1 or something :/, but bleh. I'm sure it's not easy, but you should ignore all that nonsense... and put your energy into development and the fun that you can find that comes wit...

On my systems, it seems that under Windows XP, ZSNES crashes when enabling HQx or NTSC (been like that for years now). Using Windows Vista or Windows 7 magically makes it work properly :)

Re: Effective emulator design.

Hello, I've been thinking a lot about what blargg said and am deeply considering doing a decent emu entirely from scratch to satisfy that. Like some of the others guys said, why not do a 'proper/accurate' GBA emulator from scratch? It may fill the gap between no$GBA and VBA. Of course, with your ma...

Moreover, were the new cores implemented succesfully (excuse me for probably not using the proper term(s))? I believe those affected sound and other internal functions, aimed for accuracy.

I wish devs would post updates on how things are coming along from time to time. Its interesting to read about the progress being made. I'm also interested in current progress, if there is any to begin with, of course. It's out when it's out, yes, but it seems more and more likely that development ...

Updated default board banner

I looked at the default banner today when I accidentally logged out, which showed me the default board theme. If I remember correctly, I made the banner that is currently located there a long time ago. I thought that logo could use an update, even though many use the black theme. Grey (original): ht...
