I'm torn between the two. One offers vsync without messing up the "inaccurate" audio, while the other offers perfect audio with vsync messing it up.
Well, no matter what, a trade-off has to be made. Don't get me wrong, we can do a lot better than we have thus far (and I'm sure ZSNES v2.0 will), but it's not possible to display all video frames and avoid resampling the audio. Most likely, audio will be resampled. It really won't be as bad as buggy emulation -- it'll be more like taking an image, and resizing it by 1x1 pixels. It'll get a bit blurrier, and you probably won't even notice without the original to listen to side-by-side.

But current blargg audio quality and perfect vsync? Not happening in software.

I was just joking around in my previous post of course. However, You can get "near perfect" vsync and sound in bsnes by turning on vsync and then changing the cpu cycles to 21400000. I've found at this cycle speed, there are virtually no hiccups in the sound or frame-rate that can be noticed. Once in a great while you might catch a skip here and there, but its plenty good enough campared to dealing with the default settings.
