Spicy Hottest Thing/Stuff you've/others had before?

Post by DauschandFan »

Me: I ate about one fourth of a Serano Pepper and I drank some milk, ate some bread but it still BURNED spicy for about 35 minutes ouch that was spicy.

My Dad: He at just a little bit of I think it was Chinese Hot Sauce and on a scale from 1-10 10 being strongest it probably was an 8.7 while the Serano Pepper I ate was only 6 Pretty Darn Spicy.

Back in my high school years, we had a Japanese exchange student that had wasabi sushi rolls. I tried one and I must say they were 2x hotter than any habanero pepper i've had since. I had to spit it out it was just too much...and I love spicy food too.

To avoid the wasabi burn, just don't breath using your nose. Then you'll enjoy the sushi rolls.

Will the wasabi clear your nose in case that you catch a cold or have sinus? I had never tasted wasabi.

Not sure, since I never had a cold when having sushi. Although, it is much more spicy than any chilli I tasted tho, and I tasted many different kinds. Though, after a while, you do get used to the spicyness.

I don't really care, I just eat them regardless. :P

Wasabi peanuts/cashews are like little balls of crack - you just can't stop eating them. Your sinuses will be empty (and burning) before you're halfway through the bag.

Yep! That's the price that must be paid after enjoying a hot sauce. A burning ass at the toilet!

And how^

It's been so long ago, I'm half tempted to buy some wasabi sushi rolls from deli at Fred Myers. With the pointer I've gotten from snkcube, I think I should give it another go around. Well... at least to prove my man sack has dropped, heh.

@ Neo Kaiser: That YO Kick Ass hot sauce is TEH f*cking best with corndogs and on top of french fries. Sometimes on my fish sticks too. I love that stuff.

I use that sauce with skewered foods, Fried Chicken (Especially Hot Wings.) and 1 0r 2 drops on stews.(The only way that I can eat stews or soups.)

Is there any certain recipe you use on your hot wings or just pour it on strait?

Any soups in particular? Stew I can see, but I don't think I'd put it on per say chicken noodle soup. Chili Is a definite yes. Spicy tomato soup and grilled cheese is always a winner in my book. That hot sauce has so many possibilities. Hell, we should write a zSnes "Kick Ass" Recipe Book

I just add it with a small brush that I use for this on the already fried wings. It is just that I like the Habanero flavor over the Jalapeño flavor. I understand why to avoid the soup. For some reason the sauce becomes twice as strong on liquid foods. In my case I use it even on chicken soup unless is one of those soups that comes prepared like Lipton. But the winner for me is many pieces of chicken or pork inserted on a skewer that we call Pincho made on a BBQ grill. Then after they are done I mix BBQ sauce with the Kick Yo Ass Sauce at a proportion of 5 drops per cup of BBQ sauce or a simply apply the KYA Sauce directly with a brush after the BBQ sauce was applied (More effective but...the price to be paid later...). Finally I add a piece of bread at the top.

@ Neo Kaiser: Those sound really good. I'm going to have to give them a try. Thanks.

@ darkbenny: I see there is no listing for wasabi. I wonder what its rating is?

As far as I can see, wasabi doesn't derive its spiciness from the chemical capsaicin, so is not on that particular scale.

Ok, my bad, I see what you are saying now. I was thinking it was a scale to show ALL relative heats of ALL foods and such.

Yes Capsaicin is found on peppers more than anything and Wasabi is more like hot mustard or the like according to Wikipedia.

I wonder how wasabi taste is and what foods the flavor combines best.
