browser history collage
From slashdot. Collects your browser history and displays a collage using the site icons. Does this bother anyone else? I didn't realize it was so simple to grab my browsing history.

Apparently I love slashdot, gentoo, google, FileZilla, and yellowpages.com. I don't know what the BBR or the X thing is. O is Orbitz I think.
edit: The X is for Xmarks, which I just started using.

And yes, OP, the blue O is Orbitz. Were you trying to get away from the ZSNES board
that being said, here's mine:
Shocking that the Saturnfans website and all the poker sites my dad visits didn't show up here..
EDIT: I wonder how they decide which site's icons to use in the collage, and in what order..

You're a smart cookie, aren't you?Killa B wrote:It gave me a big black square. I'm not going to post it here, because I'm sure you've all seen big black squares before.
I think it might be due to the fact that I don't save my browsing history.
HEY! LISTEN! edit: your expired collage caused your post to be blank, due to the image URL, and as such can't be fixed. Please re-do it.

People, PLEASE don't do a Franpa, and DIRECTLY link your collage from that site, all that image URL will do is make your post appear as all blank for some reason. Here is how to properly host a collage for dummies (AKA Franpa):
1) Go to the site the OP posted and let it make your collage
2) right-click the collage and click Save Image As...
3) Save your collage on your hard drive
4) go to imageshack or photobucket and upload your image there
5) post link here
6) ???
7) PROFIT!!!

But at least I didn't do that whole space punctuation thing that you do, so I guess it's not too bad..

*bump* jdratlif: The BBR is for Broadband Reports, aka dslreports.com.
Also, it's not that it's tooled to ignore the NSFW sites. By design limitation, it works with a whitelist of domains that happens to exclude porn sites. I'm sure, with a little proxy redirection to pull a custom domain list, you could include all your favorite porn or other questionable sites into the collage.
Oh, and for reference, I only visited the Achewood site in February for unknown reasons, and I read Penny Arcade and VG Cats sparsely, even though their icons appear multiple times. No idea about some of those.
This would probably be a lot more useful if it could tell which sites were visited recently instead of everything ever visited. Or, conversely, it could make a link map of the icons it used in the collage to refresh your memory of which sites go with random and sometimes unintelligible icons.
