My brother right now wants something as close as a computer as he can carry in his hand. We where thinking in a PDA, but we want the darned thing to run some apps, even if they're not designed specifically for handheld PCs (maybe DOS programs, I dunno).
Anything that can run a Windows version, or a Linux version, something like that. It can't be a portable PC, no notepads, something REALLY small that you can put in a pocket (albeit a big one).
Ideas?

We don't really care about the price, there's enough money to buy a substantial amount of PS3s. The real deal it's that he needs it to program from time to time, check code, stuff like that.

You want a Nokia tablet.

They run linux and are reasonably powerful.
Then there's always the super-inexpensive Asus EEE. Not quite handheld, but just about small enough.
