Eh whats a good data recovery software?

When I was reinstalled windows I choose to reformat my sd memory card by excedent.

Recuva is free, and I've found it to be able to do most recovery I've needed.

Recuva does absolutly nothing at all and is more about looking for deleted files not bad partioned disk.

The other one sounds just like what I need but the link for the file seems dead and the home page 403's for me.

Ok I tried both and neither can seem to scan the sd card thats had no partition. :(

Just create a partition on it but don't format. All that'll do is write a few bytes to the partition table so none of the data will be destroyed. If there's any data still there, it'll be recognised, then you can scan it. Recovery software has some silly limitations like that. :p

How do I go about doing this? This sounds like the best way to go.

Yeah didnt understand any of that ><

Also im assuming I allow the 2k directions for XP or winnt directions?

nvm I got it. Still now i can recover from it I guess.

Ok well Zero Assumption Recovery worked fucking great. I highly recomend it. Once the parition was there it recovered 98% of the whole card. I was missing like a few mp3's a gave a shit less about.

Either way I followed your steps and I got my data.

I've said it once and I would say it again. I think people should have to pay to use your services.

for hands-on work, they do - unless they're friends or family, in which case they know well enough to have food and beer ready for me ;)
