ZSNES Freezes on Startup / Windows 10

Hello!

As soon as I open on ZSNES, it shows the initial screen where you would press spacebar to continue, however, this is as far as it gets. I am unable to perform any actions other than ctrl+alt+dlt and to manually close the program, it will not respond to any mouse clicks or keyboard commands.


Please Assist if at all possible.

Hi had the same problem with Windows 10 (64 bits). ZSNES was working fine, but when connecting my Acer laptop to my TV through HDMI port, ZSNES it crashed. Same things happens if I first connect the HDMI and then open ZSNES. I only get the ZSNES black screen. The sound seems to work for a while (if I launch a game before connecting HDMI), but ZSNES crashes at the end.

The solution was simply to configure the zsnesw.exe in Windows 8 compatibility mode.
