O button on PS3 controller

Gamepad acting up? Keyboard not responding properly? Can't get that other user to work? Read and post about it here.

O button on PS3 controller

Post by heyheyhey »

I can map every button on my ps3 controller except the O buton. I'm trying to make this the "A" key. But whenever I try to map it, it just gives me the --- instead of mapping it. I can use other buttons for A, but if it would be best to use O if im trying to model my controller after a SNES one. Basically, I'd rather use O than one of my right triggers. Any ideas?

Make sure the O button works in the game controllers test app in the windows control panel?
<Nach> so why don't the two of you get your own room and leave us alone with this stupidity of yours?

It appears the problem is the O button is worked into the zsnes system to work the same as the ESC button on the keyboard. I am not very tech saavy, so I would not know how to go about fixing this. But I guess this is becoming more of a software problem than a controller problem.

Interesting. The Escape stuff is hardcoded, so you're probably out of luck.

are you using any joy2key-type software? does the O key appear to work properly in the game controllers control panel?
