Oh wait, it was oblterated...
In any case, I pronounce ZSNES by each letter, Z.S.N.E.S.

USA? UN? UK? AKA?VietBitter wrote:Since when do u pronounce acronyms by spelling each letter out loud? NASA, NATO anyone?
Do you spell those out or pronounce them as a word?
And by your logic Zed-Snes is incorrect, because you're pronouncing the Z as a letter not a sound, your logic would dictate that you'd have to say: "Zeesness".

I grew up in the United States of America where absolutely no one called the Nintendo Entertainment System "ness". Everyone and his/her uncle called it the "Nintendo" or the "N.E.S." as it was heard in the television commercials ("Introducing...Super Gameboy for Super N.E.S!"). Throughout the duration of the 8 and 16 bit eras, I never heard a soul pronounce it phonetically even once.
When Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World was not yet released for GBA, I watched a Gamespot video review in which the reviewer was obviously a complete retard who had never owned an SNES. In the review, he said both "ness" and "sness" and it completely threw me for a loop.
I wanted to punch his fucking face in...I don't know why.

Nintendo's consoles were presented as the "nes" and "es-nes" here.
Also, all english classes in mid and highschool are teaching 'Z' is pronounced "zed" - maybe some very advanced american-specific litterary classes in universities teach that american say 'zee'.
[The first time I actually realized that myself was while playing Uniracers (in which zee flip is called 'Z flip')]
So zsnes is zed-es-nes in my mind. "Zee-es-nes" sounds like a castrated pedophile saying "The SNES" to me, no offense folks haha.

How else do u pronounce the letter Z? I say "Zed" not "Zee" thus Zed-SnesNach wrote:USA? UN? UK? AKA?VietBitter wrote:Since when do u pronounce acronyms by spelling each letter out loud? NASA, NATO anyone?

Those Acronyms sound too retarded if u pronounce it as a word not by letter.

Why should you pronounce Z as a letter? Just like NASA you should read it as the sound for Z, thus "Zeesness" or perhaps "Zisness".VietBitter wrote:How else do u pronounce the letter Z?
