v2.0a is old news... (remember these are beta's... the version numbers mean nothing when compared to that of the next stable release)

If the memory allocation issue is resolved.. I'd consider it.

...You're joking. That makes Opera look like it eats no memory.

Opera seems to have a memory leak though. If I idle it for awhile it starts taking up 60 megs doing nothing.

Plus it takes like 30 seconds for it to leave processes when I turn it off.

Both browsers have memory leaks. It's probably the most annoying thing about them.

Extensions are mainly what keep me using Firefox exclusively.

a recent update to 3.0a seems to have reduced memory usage down to 32mb - 36mb for this page and agn forums.

I don't get it why are they releasing Firefox 3.0 Alpha, when Firefox 2.0 is in Beta? Shouldn't they just add whatever changes in 3.0a into 2.0b?

So they might've fixed those memory leaks?

can't quite say until all of my extensions and whatnot get updated.

but i had 4 tabs open, and it was using about 62 MB of RAM, which was equivalent to just 2 tabs, according to franpa.

inline spell checking is nice, as well. not since my short foray into linux have i had that. the default skin looks very nice, as well. i ALMOST don't need my other ones.

pretty smooth, though.
