Well, 190 games doesnt mean 190 GOOD games. A lot of games for the PS2 suck.
Although I like that. More games = More chances of finding one that doesnt suck.

I guess Sony can get away with this shit every time, since people bite into it every time.
Of course they haven't got 100 games actually in development that are gonna be released at or near the PS3's launch. Most of those titles are likely just a project name on a list yet, and we probably won't see all of them until the end of the console's lifespan. Not to mention the ones that are gonna get cancelled, or the ones that they just made up.
But does that stop Sony from boasting about having a 100 PS3 titles in development right now? Of course not, did the truth ever stop them from claiming the PSP is outselling the DS? Or that the PS2 was more powerful than the Gamecube and would bring us Toy Story in real time? It's like with their shipped vs. sold sales numbers. Sony are always full of shit and will stretch the facts as much as they can for maximum hype effect+++.

Nothing will ever have as much of an impact as the SNES did. I generally am not a fan of anything, but during the SNES age I was Nintendo-crazy. I'm still waiting for the godly console which can compare. At this point I'm wondering if it will ever happen. PS3 is starting as a big letdown, I haven't heard one game officially announced for it yet that I'm excited about.

you've got some wierd standards. i'm sure they have at least one more amazing title, but i don't feel like researching.

So If it had a normal DVD player it would cost 200? Well done Sony.sweener2001 wrote:in sony's defense, this is the cheapest way, by around 400 dollars to get a blu-ray player in your house.
if you want to play games, then i do agree. But sony does have that one advantage.

Personally, I like MGS the best. Twin Snakes, even though a remake, is by far, the best MG I've played. I didn't like MGS2, it began as a really good game and it began to suck more as you played it. The ending was crap. I haven't played MGS3.
FFXIII? Looks good, looks nice, but seeing how the latest FF have been handled, I'm not that eager to play it. I'm more along the lines of KH now (thanks for ruining my FF Square-Enix bastards).
Ninja Gaiden Sigma, there's something to look forward to.
Three games... I don't think that's enough to buy a PS3. Those aren't as strong as the ONLY game people would buy an XBox360 for, Halo 3.

Yes I know that my grammar sucks!
I think he meant that a Blu-Ray player costs $400 more than a PS3. Not that the PS3 would cost $400 less if it didn't have one.Joe Camacho wrote:So If it had a normal DVD player it would cost 200? Ninja Gaiden Simga is just a port of Ninja Gaiden with more features. Final fantasies have been going downhill for awhile. 8 X X2 XI And XII where all really mediocore and over rated games compared to much of the other over looked stuff out.sweener2001 wrote:not even metal gear solid 4?

doesn't every game console claim to be developing a million games prior to release? cause when I bought a ps2 a while back, they had like five shitty games at release. so everyone scrambled to get their hands on a ps2, then took it home and watched dvds. and the total assholes bought all five shitty games, thinking there's nothing better to do with a new console than collect the games.

it assumes none of that. the ps3 will be the cheapest way to get a blu-ray player in your house. period. there's no format war debate in that statement.
if you want a blu-ray player, and you want it cheap, you get a ps3. how did you pull a format war out of that statement? what was your chain of logic?
and it's not a dvd war, either. dvd is the current standard. blu-ray and HD-DVD are competing for the next-gen standard. how did your head not explode after making that post?
