Podcasting

Post by Demios »

So I'm working on some guys on making podcasts. Easy right, just record yourselves talking. Problem is we are all in different houses, states even. So we Skype. We decided yeah, we'll record our skype conversations. The problem? None of the programs I know of record input and output, just one or the other. Hence I can record what they say, but not what I say, or I can record what I say and not what they say. Any Ideas or programs? Ventrillo and Teamspeak are out of the question. They use shitty codecs.

Wear headphones, then use the "Stereo Mix" or "What U hear" output.

Then unmute your mike in playback. You'll hear yourself in your headphones, as well as your friends. Then your recording program will record what you are hearing.

Hearing yourself is not nearly as annoying as it sounds.

If I remember right, there is a service for free that allows you to record skype calls. I will look it up tonight and see if I can find what it is.

Edit: Heres a link, dont know about how well it works or if it will do what you need.
