Super Mario RPG stuck at axem ranger battle
I was playing Super mario RPG in zsnes and it was running relatively well, i had it quit on me a couple of times unexpectedly while rewinding, but then i get up to this one battle where it gets stuck. It isn't frozen because the animation and music is still running, just the battle stops. The attack that is supposed to happen doesn't happen and then it just sits there. Here is a link to a savestate just prior to the bug:

Well he is, he equated r4067 with r4049 in his last post.Jipcy wrote:I don't think he was trying to imply that.DeFender1031 wrote:Yes, I am not an idiot.snkcube wrote:Are you using the latest WIP ZSNES?

I didnt mean to equate the two. I'm using NEWER than the newest WIP. My point is that I'm not like the stupid people who are using version zero-point-zero-nothing and complain about things that have long ago been fixed, and no, my headphones are not plugged in.Nach wrote:Well he is, he equated r4067 with r4049 in his last post.Jipcy wrote:I don't think he was trying to imply that.DeFender1031 wrote:Yes, I am not an idiot.snkcube wrote:Are you using the latest WIP ZSNES?

Good, in the future, remember to attach version info to your bug reports.DeFender1031 wrote:I didnt mean to equate the two. I'm using NEWER than the newest WIP. I wasn't aware that that was necessary. I thought it was assumed that if someone is going to be making a bug report, that they'd be smart enough to be using the latest version, as it says to do in the FAQ.Nach wrote:Good, in the future, remember to attach version info to your bug reports.
Guess it was a stupid assumption as I have already indicated that there are people who aren't smart enough to use the newest version. Thank you for making me aware of this, and i will certainly make sure to include it in the future. I suggest though, that it be added to the FAQ, as the FAQ currently does not say anything about including version info in the report.1) Make sure you use the latest version of ZSNES.

You could always try using an older version, though, I do think you will encounter mass glibc errors if you do.
SA-1 is still effectively borked by design. The speedhack used for SA-1 chips is really sensitive code and removing this speedhack means the support probably needs to be added back in (or have no support at all).
