Just got a Nano, now how do I get all this fancy album art?

Place to talk about all that new hardware and decaying software you have.

So I've got a large collection of music. Does anyone have any experience in updating their collection with album art? Any recommended methods or programs?

I never got the point of that. I just want to listen to music. Try wiki for the various bands . They might have it.

I thought itunes downloads all the album art for you. I bet if you buy the music through them it gives you the album art, but won't find art for mp3s you already have.

oh well, amazon.com like the rest of us.

I'm using Winamp.
I just found this:

Which gets the artwork from Amazon - I'm about to see how well it works. The search and download is pretty impressive, and ml_ipod does artwork now, so I'll see in a bit how it works.

if you set up an itunes account, you can tell itunes to grab album art for you. for any art that it doesn't grab you can go to www.art4itunes.com, and they seach amazon for you. usually pretty accurate.

I know exactly what you are talking about and it's very frustrating to find a program that does it - but I have found a program a few months ago that I am very pleased with. Try Fixtunes (www.fixtunes.com) and let me know what you think.
