No kidding, and I have the fortune of having all my favourite games released exclusively on the PS3... horray. Who'd pay $350 for an xBox360 when you can pay $800 (yes that's how much it costs here) for a PS3

Even now that all the nutcases that wanted a PS3 have one I don't see any for sale at nearby stores, they're all sold out constantly somehow. The retail price is supposed to be ~$650 in Canada but it's always $700+ just because they can get away with it. $50 may not seem like much but with our good friend tax that becomes $800+ to buy the console.

If people weren't severely mentally handicapped (or didn't have money which they don't deserve &/or earn) Sony would have shit for sales and (possibly) realize that if people wanted to spend $800+ to play video games, they'd buy a PC. So long as it's $800 and has shit for games I'll be damned if I buy one.

Anyway, has there at least been news if it is reliable unlike the PS2 which spontaneously combusted at any given moment for absolutely no apparent reason? Or does the PS3 randomly crap out as well?

demo kiosks work like crap. i hear sony's constant firmware updates do an alright job of keeping things running. the console's almost ready to be released now.
