She cheated, she pulled extension cords for the fridge, cook top and some lamps.

damn, and I thought the amish had it bad!

the squeeky wheel gets the grease. if you don't stand up and say something the world will pass you by. the story said it took a couple hours of work to fix her shit. she should have said something 15 years ago. what a dumb ass 'elderly woman.'

Absolutely. Where did that extension cord get plugged in? That article didn't seem to say. There must have been some power running to the house.

I hate these over glorified stories. She didn't REALLY live with without electricity for 15 years.

Secondly, it's her own stupid fault for letting it go this long. She shouldn't get any heroic awards.

Fun fact:
people all over the world live without electricity their whole lives. it isn't that hard to live without it here in the united states, either.

I bet $50 you couldn't do it for three days (I'm just saying that so i don't have to read your posts for a couple days.)

Yes it is. In the coast here water is never that cold, so taking a bath that's not heated ain't gonna kill you.
My great grandmother died of... neumonia? Because she took a bath at midnight in Bogota, without heated water (she lived in her farm).
Although age also counts there.

Embarrasment can be more powerfull than logic.

Does [Kevin] Smith masturbate with steel wool too?

- Yes, but don’t change the subject.

Yeah and people in Africa defenitly live without electricity there too. They are also starving and living with dying from AIDS everyday. shows how lucky we really are, and how bad those people there have it, but at least some are surviving over there.
