If they have as their target users people with limited knowledge in Operation Systems, I will gladly try it out.

Ubuntu is not that difficult. The only way Linux could be retardly easy is if you have like 100 wizards like Windows does to automate stuff for you.

it couldn't hurt linux to be retardedly easy.

although that may invite virus and malware authors, and I hear that linux is effed if anyone ever bothered to write malicious code for it.

i honestly don't know. although it seems plausible, as nearly no one with linux actually runs with an antivirus program. but maybe that's overkill because the unix base is just that secure. it was something i heard once.
