I warn you guys, it's a disturbing video.
that's awful
Tell me about it. Seeing them suffer is pretty hard to watch.
Man, I just watched it, and really pissed me off. I wish I could do the same to those fuckers who call that a job. And those who approve it.

I'm not a PETA activist at all, but I am totally against animal cruelty; if you want to serve it as meal, there are ways to give them a much quicker and nearly painless deaths.

Sure there are ways, but in some animals, it ruins the meat for human consumption. Ruins as in, it's not that good, I don't know for sure.

Actually, it is the other way around. My mother and her siblings (aka my uncles :P) had a ranch when she was a kid, and they learned that if the animal has a stressful death, the meat/flesh tends to be harder, making it less enjoyable when eating it.

And I have killed chickens, I somewhat should know ;P

Yes, that's what I know, but from what I have heard, it's better to hit an animal in the head and kill it in one blow that to shock it or something like that.

With some creatures that is true, like crabs. If you don't boil them alive, instantly, they can poison their own meat(which they do anyway when stressed) - making it not as good for consumption. You can also slice behind their eyes to separate their head from their body, but that is also difficult to do correctly.
