Some of them. Mainly Sonic 1 at the moment.

About cheats, here's what I got so far (mainly Sonic games)...

http://rapidshare.com/files/98730388/Cheats.zip.html

Starting today though, I'll start adding cheats for other games. :)

Just mention to sure everybody know this:
notaz mention he has update his svp code and fix some graphic bug at kega's forum.
http://www.eidolons-inn.net/tiki-view_f ... entId=4614

about Regen v0.6:
- Loading another game past Virtua Racing causes the graphics to be messed up.
still notice this one when loading rockman megaworld past VR rcaing.

* Hopefully fixed(or at least minimized) the static in sound when window is moved.
I think this is much better right now. But I still got noise every time some of my friends login msn. This also happen in early version. I guess a option to adjust sound buffer could solve this(or my) problem.

And I suggest to make a option to adjust sound volume of different chip since I remember some ppl request this feature in kega's forum.

Ah...I didn't read that post. I've been a little inactive because of some university work getting in the way.

Thanks for the new release, AamirM!

I just wanted to remind you that it's still impossible to configure Port 2 controller, and other issues I mentioned here before.

Keep up the good work. :)

There is already an option to adjust sound buffer size. Or did you meant some other adjustment? Also, I will add the feature of changing volume.

Oh yes...
- No autopause if minimized using taskbar button. Windows reports that Regen has the focus. I could not find
any emulator, with autopause option, that autopaused this way.
Kega Fusion supports this on Windows Vista. I can minimize via the taskbar button and it autopauses. :)

Now, to pass along some comments some users made on other sites...

-Regen appears small before rising to a larger window size as you start the emulator. This should automatically be created as the size you have it selected as, like Kega.
-Regen needs customized set directories for ROMs (or to remember the last opened ROM directory), cheats, save states, SRAM, etc. via a configuration. Opening a game and then opening a cheat file is a lot of navigation work.
-Regen with a test ROM becomes buggy (possibly because of Regen failing to execute BCHG in memory). Example here. Press left or right in the buggy ROM to see what happens, and compare to the fixed ROM inside the archive. Still pending a test on real hardware, just in case it's a ROM bug.

I'm working on porting more cheats to Regen's format. Anyone have any suggestions for cheats to be ported for Regen cheat.dat format? :)

EDIT: New issues.

-The intro issue for X-Men is horrible, and doesn't sound like real hardware.
-Trying to disable sound mid-game/sound causes horrible buzzing noises.

I just notice I could change buffer size in regen.ini. it's enough for me. :)

something I also notice during running regen0.6 on my win xp.

About the srm support.
Regen will create srm file now, but I think it didn't store and read data properly.

About the save state function.
I got some corrupter graphic (caused by different display mode I think) and sounds after loading save state in some situation.

About the Superfast redering and new text engine.
Superfast rendering didn't work properly in 32bit mode for me(same problem ppl has mention before). It works fine in 16 bit mode.

I got corrupted message in 32 bit mode without Superfast redering.
it work fine in 16 bit mode.

graphic plugin didn't work in 16 bit superfast redering mode.

Ok, noticed more little issues.

-Selecting a window size doesn't have a little check by the selection.
-Ghost sprites (and other sprites like the Exit signs) in Castle Of Illusion appear above the HUD, instead of behind like in Kega/real hardware. So you know, the disable sprite limitation option is off.

Regen:

Kega:

Hmmm, is it just me or is the Regen window slightly smaller than Kega's at the same window size?

I'll update the issues post in a little bit. :)

EDIT: More feedback from users from another forum.

-Heh, there's typos in the readme file. A user named Adam fixed up all the typos in the readme file and posted a fixed one, which can be downloaded here. And he updated all references to Superfast blitting to Superfast rendering. I believe he's also going to update for the new menu items.
-Following in the About screen is misspelled as follwing.

franpa, is there any games specifically you want a cheat.dat file for? I'd be glad to. :)

By the way, I use Notepad++ to edit/create cheat files, so you guys know. :)

nono, im fine. the layout of the files is pretty straight forward if you use something that supports the formatting.

You have to restart the emulator after selecting superfast rendering.

Could you elaborate more on the sram problem.

hmm, I should read readme every time before I post something so I won't forgot something.
Anyway, the main problem for me is that I got corrupted message in 32bit normal rendering mode.

About the sram problem, I just test more game and it actually works.
Something I notice is:

1. Regen didn't create srm file properly if u load(Ctrl+O) new game without "power off"(Ctrl+P) previous running game.

2. Regen couldn't load my old srm file which were used by both gens and kega, but kega could load srm file create by regen.

3. Some game I test can't save properly:
games I think using eeprom:
Ninja Burai Densetsu (work fine with kega)
Honoo no Toukyuuji Dodge Danpei (work fine with kega)
Rockman Megaworld

game need special support:
phantasy star 4

I think I'll have to release a quick update to fix this. I'll post it in a few hours.

EDIT:
BTW, Could you tell me where did you post the news about Regen?

Hi,

@ King of Chaos

Smaller fonts can be downloaded from here.

EDIT:

if you have your cheats in some certain format(like .PAT, or even in text but with some degree of formatting) I can write a parser to convert them to Regen format so you don't have to do the copy pasting yourself.

Ah, thank you very much. =)

Shame there isn't a way to covert Kega's cheat files to Regen's format. =P That'd save a lot of time.
