Hi,

Yes, I noticed too. I nearly always use a plugin in which case it does not happen. Thanks for reporting it.

Oh, sorry, in Sonic 3D Blast, I get almost that same results, roughly 540fps.

Hi,

Regen seems to run faster on single core processors. Since many people have the multiple-core processors I can upload a special build (using some OpenMP directives to parallelize) for them if they want more speed :) .

Count me in as well, if it can be done in linux too.

How is the linux port faring, out of curiosity? Seems that you're quite busy getting things all set up for the windows .8 release, but I figured I'd just ask.

Hi,

I am working on linux version side by side. The reason its taking so long is because I don't want ot release an ugly and feature-less version this time :) .

Haha, awesome. I can wait as long as it takes, I can tell your next release is going to be killer.

AamirM I have a Intel Core 2 Quad and I didn't notice any speed issue at all. Are you talking about Regen speed issue on Intel Core 2 Duo?

No, I was just gathering some performance data. I'll soon upload the Core2 duo and Quad betas after my exams are finished :) .

I hope it will be. It has many of the features of Windows version (though still buggy). When its nearly finished I'll let you beta test it :) .

As King of Chaos said, it uses a protection. Hopefully this unlicensed game will be supported in the next version. I'll look into the sound problems.

A little issue with savestates still exists; whenever I load a savestate in Regen 0.80b, the sound plays normally (a great improvement!) but the screen gets all weird looking. This what I mean...Image

I think it might depend on the scene. I tried the first level of Sonic 2, like neo had at first just out of curiosity, and got 999.0 FPS. If the limit was higher, it would have been faster.

Hi,

I am adding language support to Regen. I want someone to write the translation in their native language in front of the equal(=) signs of the following, for example LoadRom=装载ROM . The more translations the better. Here are all you need to fill.

LoadRom=
SoftReset=
HardReset=
PowerOff=
SaveStateAs=
LoadStateAs=
SaveSlot=
QuickSaveState=
QuickLoadState=
Window320x240=
Window640x480=
Window960x720=
EnterFullscreen=
VSync=
Stretch=
Brighten=
FastRendering=
NoSpriteLimit=
SoundRate44100=
SoundRate48000=
DisableSound=
LowpassFilter=
Overdrive=
WAVDump=
FixChecksum=
EnableSRAM=
Cheats=
RedefineKeys=
DefaultKeys=
ConfigurePaths=
TopMost=
AutoPause=
DisableShortcuts=
HighPriority=
DisableScreenSavers=
ShowFPS=
ShowMessages=
ScreenShotUnfiltered=
ScreenShotfiltered=
Debugger=
Exit=
SuperHQ=

EDIT : Don't post here. Instead mail me the translation file.

You could for example write it in Notepad and save it as UTF-8.

Hi,

No. I am not Chinese (but in a country nearby :) ). I just translated that as an example using babel fish. You can send me your Chinese transaltion. Needs to be encoded in UTF-8 though.
